  • kelly is amazing what a stage presence

  • I like Kelly better than Lou Gramm. Okay, it's said. Someone had to say it.

  • dump the old man

  • I AGREE THIS IS NOT FOREIGNER WITHOUT LOU GRAMM SAME AS ELO IS NOT ELO WITHOUT JEFF LYNNE !!!

  • This singer is as good as the former frontman. Superb!

  • I don't care what anyone says.Foreigner isn't Foreigner without Lou Gramm.Just like Styx isn't the same without Dennis Deyoung.

  • @sammys70 Excellent point. There are too many mimics nowadays, anyone can "sound" like someone else, but they are NOT that person nor do they have the same soul. Nice try with replacements, but I am with you, it just isn't the same.

  • great video !!!

  • Urgently needed: Deinterlacing (look at those lines ruining the video! Argh)

  • GREAT!!

  • VOTE FOR FOREIGNER - TODAY !!!!! As often as you can!!!!

On Lopez Tonight.com - Best Musical Act - Round 2 (can't post the link ...)

  • sure miss Lou...sigh

  • As much as Lou Gramm was freaking amazing, Kelly Hansen is a pretty good replacement. His vocal stylings are similar, and he puts on a good show. I'm going to see them live tomorrow. It's going to rock, HARD!

  • Well I wouldnt call HIM in the middle of the night!!

    SHOW PONY!!

  • I know if I was a singer I wouldn't say "C'mon Germany!". You gotta make the people feel like you are there to see them, not the whole country. He could have done better than that. JMO.

  • This is just a part of "Urgent" and it was at the "Bang Your Head" festival which was attended by people from all parts of the country. Foreigner's portion of the concert is on a DVD called "Alive and Rockin'!" Awesome DVD!!

  • As much as I love Lou Gramm, I'd probably go see these guys. Our heros don't live or last forevery. Hope Lou is happy in retirement.

  • Lou is touring with his band -- The Lou Gramm Band -- just did a Christian CD.

  • Whos this fag?

  • Lou Gramm cannot be replaced!!! Same case with Steve Perry, Steve Walsh, Dave Bickler, etc. The sad thing about this guy is that he tries so hard to imitate Gramm its unbearable. I´m not saying he´s a bad singer though. You know what i mean

  • I couldn't agree more. You're comparisons to Journey are spot on as well. Both bands are obviously trying to find an identical vocal replacement (which they suprisingly accomplished, in both cases). But that doesn't leave any room to musical growth as a band. It's apparent that all they are trying to do is ride the wave of success that the former singers brought to the band. They have no desire to go forward and continue to grow. And that's as shame. Both bands, and their fans deserve more.

  • Foreigner has a new CD , "Can't Slow Down," - 12 awesome new songs written by Mick and Kelly with Marti Frederiksen. "The first single, "When It Comes to Love," is @ #16 this week on Billboard! Fans are excited about the new material and enjoy hearing the fave classics, too!! Check out the "When It Comes to Love" -- the official video is on youtube and one I recorded live when they debuted it @ House of Blues in October, too. Video for the new rocker, "Can't Slow Down" there, too!!

  • lou gramm was so awesome

but he ain't no more. it's sad.

  • Man ...kelly Hanson ..is hot in this!

  • This singer would be good if he was the original singer and no one heard Lou Gramm. The Gramm/Jones team was the true Foreigner

  • very good point!!!!!!!

  • I saw them last night. It was AMAZING!!! I didn't miss Lou Gramm at all. Kelly is sooo very talented. He does his own thing and he does it brilliantly!

  • Very impressed, even if Lou was well he would have lost it by now, you cannot turn back time ! Hope they record a new album, I will by it straight away.

  • They did!!! New CD is "Can't Slow Down!" Awesome -- 12 new songs!

  • These songs aren't easy to sing and I think Kelly is awesome. He even sounds like Lou Gramm

  • @thewsca I know a lot of people will prolly disagree but I always thought with all bands that replace the lead, yea the original singer was great but I think the replacement has to be even better because not only is his reputation on the line but the whole bands as well.

  • LOU GRAMM is the best

  • I didn't know Steven Tyler had joined Foriegner

  • exactly what i thought when i first saw them lol

  • tha'ts not Steven Tyler.

  • It don´t feel like Foreigner. Just check the clips from the eighties, and remember the original lineup with Lou.

  • Nobody will ever be better than Lou, that said, Kelly Hansen does do a very good job...

  • that's the most clear comment that i've read here. Lou is the voice, but Kelly does a good job...

    amen

  • @vipers3005 hes old and fat now so kelly hansen could wreck lou and i like lou gramm as much as the next guy but his vocal talent is long gone

  • @NBytes94 Yeah but LOU was the ORIGINAL singer of these songs. To say he's old and fat is to totally disgrace that which was originally created. Yeah this copy cat may sound good and like him...but the True foreigner is long gone without Lou. It is nothing more than a karoke band now. Long Live Lou!!

  • i saw them in about oo lou was'nt so good cause of the tumer. i saw the recent line up about 2 yrs. ago the show was awsome. i think the vocalist sounds great on the classics.

  • kelly has a great voice.

  • he doesn't sound close to Lou Gramm. Still it is great they are out touring. The band sounds great.

  • Go see the Lou Gramm Band! If you want Foreigner songs sounding the way they are supposed to. Lou is sounding fantastic nowadays!

  • Supposed to sound? You mean in a lower key? I've seen the more recent clips of Lou and he sounds just marginally better than he did in '02. He's been forced to sing the songs differently since he simply can't come close to hitting the high notes anymore. It's all about the music for me and this lineup delivers.

  • It's just this song does not sound right with Kelley singing it, Lou is still better than this. You need to just loosen up and not be so judgemental. You may realize you're missing out on a lineup that delivers MUCH better than this.

  • littleone: Just so you know. I saw the previous lineup a ton of times with post-op Lou(14 times during the 99,00 & '02 tours) and it's really not even close. Pre-op Lou will forever be my alltime favorite vocalist but he simply can't sing the Foreigner classics properly anymore. I just grew tired of watching him struggle and the shows simply weren't that great. And I'm certainly not alone...the crowds have been so much more responsive since the new guys joined the band.

  • O.K., I can understand how you feel, I just feel that I want to support him and enjoy him for who he is now and all he's been through Foreigner Phan..... I was always more of a Lou Gramm fan then a Foreigner fan anyhow, so I respect your choice and maybe you can respect mine.

  • littleone: That's cool. I certainly have nothing against Lou as I will always love him. I just choose to not see him anymore. He's been in my neck of the woods a handful of times since he left Foreigner and I haven't even bothered to see him. I saw him upclose and personal many times and I just can't bear to see him this way anymore..it's too painful.

  • Cool Foreigner Phan, I think you should give him another shot presently, keeping in mind that "That was Yesterday" and embrace today for all it is and I don't think he'll dissapoint you. And, I as well, will give this line up a shot next time they are in my area! Although I'll always be loyal to Lou!

  • Why no complete song? This really sucks.

  • Its just wrong without Lou

  • Were is Lou? this is not foregner

  • if you listen to the voice than you can hear its the same artist in the orginal song

  • your ears lie to you

  • wtf are they doing...what a fucking horrible song...made only for homosexual...shity song...

  • Qui c'est? Il l'ont trouvé ou celui-là?

  • sorry but like lou nobody...I go to hear the music and to remember old times...but this guy is just a singer more period. I am fan of this band... and isn´t respect about this shows.

  • Kelly Hanson rocks in his former band Hurricane...

  • lou gramm est incontournable pour foreigner sans lui c'est plus le meme groupe.

  • I seen them last year in San Diego,CA. As a fan I thought it would suck having anyone but Lou singing lead. To my surprize, Kelly Hansen sounded as close to Lou, as you can get. This video doesn`t sound as good as he does live. And he is a true show man. I love Lou, but after his brain tumor he just wasn`t the same. His voice does not sound the same as it did back in the day. Just speaking the truth, no offense to anyone.

  • I love Foreigner...as long as Lou is singing. No offense to this guy, but Lou is the man, period.

  • Now that`s what I call a successful singer replacement, not like that teen-looking guy in Journey...

  • @ OMG, this guy kicks total ass on this song. I'm impressed.

  • what happened to Lou???

  • If they'd have picked anyone other than Kelly Hansen to sing I don't I'd have liked it. For anyone not familiar with Kelly Hansen he was the lead singer of Hurricane. Nobody can truly replace Lou, but thank goodness they got someone as talented as Kelly Hansen to fill the slot.

  • Cool ,but he Lu Gram sings one tune up!!!!!

    Ha...

  • that singer, at the salt lake concert i High fived him twice during juke box hero! Once on the way up the stairs and once down! It was sooooo cool!

  • Great musicians, of course! Jason Bonham on drums, fantastic. But i want to see Lou on the microphone first. And all the other guys with the first line up. They´ve been so great!

  • he DOES NOT sound like lou. NOBODY DOES.

  • I love this guys voice.Superb.He sounds like Lou aswell.I'm gonna see them next week, can't wait.

  • this performance is THE bollox!

  • this is the best version of foreigner EVER!

americans are gettin incredibly dumb not understanding what kind of gems they have in their musical history: foreigner, toto, journey, survivor, bad english and many other REAL ROCK bands that made history! they are dumbily happy listening to rap and crap,it's almost surreal!

since 1993 from he "advent" of grunge not one single american band is at the level of their gloroius past(maybe only alice in chains are)

  • i hate todays music and dokken was cool

  • I'm not going to say this new guy is a bad singer, but Lou Gramm is a great singer. He just simply cannot be replaced so easily and it shows.

  • WRONG. lou sings with a passion this guy could never understand.

  • Lou can't sing anymore...sad really.

  • I just got done seeing them live and they were amazing. I have seen them before with Lou and this was so much better. As far as his singing of urgent, it sounded alot better when I saw them. Either way they ROCK

  • this guy is a great singer but he's not cut out for urgent , that's just my opinion don't hold it against me

  • I saw them a few weeks ago with Def Leppard and they really were awesome, I really liked the singer too.

  • Lou Gramm rules.... How come he's not part of the group no more?

  • Good singer but not as soulful as Gramm!

  • Stepping into Lou Gramm's shoes is an impossible task, but Kelly Hansen does a passable job. That's an incredibly hard song to sing, folks.

  • Great vid! I'm a Lou Gramm fan, but Kelly's vocals are great (check out their Extended Versions live album to see 4 yourself). I love the new line-up with Jeff Pilson & Jason Bonham and can't wait for the new album with some new songs.

  • is that the same singer?

  • I'm glad to see some life back in Foreigner. Foreigner will never be the same without Lou Gramm but I'm glad Kelly Hansen has been given the chance to display his talent. He has paid his dues for a long time now.

  • Not as good as Lou Gramm...i bet Lou's concerts outsell these guys any day!!

  • socalifbabe: You're kidding, right? I'm a Foreigner diehard and they haven't sounded this good in years. Lou has never been the same since his brain tumor operation in '97. He can't hit the high notes anymore and he sings in a lower key now. This new lineup is special.

  • Talk about being left wanting more. Good Post!

  • rock'n' roll aint gonna die !
