I live in NJ, a bus ride from the downtown area. There isn't much known about the 1967 riots unless you've lived there all your life. I can't find much info on it. Right now people are striking (Verizon) and if you look at some of the DT infrastructure you can still see the after effects of the riots. But they have build a arena to bring in commerce. But what good is when the system is still broken from the last mayor.
Not sure if this has been brought up yet, but the police have been out of control lately. I could see them pushing their boundaries to provoke a violent response to instate martial law or other planned outcomes.

What concerns me most is that once a city like Washington DC or Baltimore, Maryland experiences riots, then you'll notice a domino effect, one city at a time, one state at a time until the entire country is in disarray. What's worst is our politicians knew about the issues that sparked these riots overseas and threatens home. They knew the miseries that sparked protests from the beginning but they did nothing!

Was watching the news for los angeles last night, they say the gangs are joining forces, never before has this happened. the news guy says the crime robbery and theft is much higher than last year., here in the Santa Barbra country we are seeing crime everyday,from robbery to door door home invasion to the guy shot his wife in the street. funny can hear the sirens right now! wonder what it is this time. got my neighbor yesterday. cops were there useless.

Can you move to a safer area? There are prepper communities in New Hamshire & the American Redoubt states- Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, eastern Oregon & eastern Washington. I think your best bet is to move around like minded people. Whatever you do, best of luck and hide your valuables. Do not let anyone in your community know what you have.

I live in NJ, a bus ride from the downtown area. There isn't much known about the 1967 riots unless you've lived there all your life. I can't find much info on it. Right now people are striking (Verizon) and if you look at some of the DT infrastructure you can still see the after effects of the riots. But they have build a arena to bring in commerce. But what good is when the system is still broken from the last mayor.

while I agree there were all races involved in the London riot but if you look at some of the footages...it was predominately blacks that were rioting. From what I heard this is how it got started...a black guy fired the first shot at a cop and from there on hell broke lose??? Blacks are more likely to riot based on what I've seen.

Cleveland should have definitely been on there. We got glass bottles banned at nfl games when beer bottles rained on to the field over a bad call. We were named bomb city usa in the 70's (Watch kill the Irish man) 30+ bombings in one summer. The Hoff riots. We've been one of the poorest cities the last 10yrs hitting number 1 a couple times. Population is going down though. Cleveland just has fun messing stuff up over dumb shit.

I live in Memphis, Tn. you are right on about conditions here. When is dollar bottoms out or for that matter electricity goes out. We have a large amount of people on government assistance. If the electricity goes out, you won't be able to use a credit card, ATM, food stamps or wick programs. That will lead to a lot of angry, hungry, thirsty mobs. That's when you will have roving gangs trying to take what food and water you have.

@stayingawake20 I am in Cinci too. They did burn down their own 'hood but they were taking it out on the ones they were pissed at, the cops. It was not an economic crisis riot, it was against the cops as usual. My prediction, Houston TX will have the next riot.
