Stop wasting tax payer dollars on worthless wild horses they should all go to the slaughter plant. I do believe they should be handle and dealt with Humanely. These horse have ruined BLM ranches and grazing along with the horse market. Im glad they are rebuilding slaughter plants for horses so we can get our horse market back up and running.

Horses are not native to the americas so it would destroy our land and if all livestock was released they would destroy land and crop fields that would then cause a food shortage and we would have to depend even more on other countries. slaugher is bad yes, but roundups are actually beneficial to horses, many will starve and grow sick in the wild giving the horses homes will increase their chances of survival, it may look stressful but sometimes others only want to show the bad things, just imagine how stressful it would be for the horses if they had hardly any food or water left?

Until people stop breeding so many horses, there will always be slaughter. I have no problem with it so long as the transport and slaughter is humane. Rather than campaigning for it to be banned, you should all be campaigning for it to be made more humane. Open more small, local slaughterhouses so the horses don't have to travel long distances. Invest in proper facilities for horses to make the process less stressful. Train the staff to a high standard.

At 2:29 I know that guy and horse. I rescued that horse too. Got him back to heath and looked like nothing every happened to him. Its a stallion now a gelding. I sold him for $1,000 after 2 years with him.

Horse slaughter is awful. But no matter what some people want to eat it for some reason. It's stupid to try to get it banned in the US. The horses would be shipped out, and either flown by plane or shipped by boat, already panicked to some over seas slaughter house where I can assure, they are not using bolt guns only dull knives so the animals can bleed to death feeling all the pain. The Native Americans referred do those horses as "heavenly dogs" because they had never seen a horse. The species that you are speaking of became extinct. Most of the "wild" horses in this video were in poor condition. Humans need to cull all animals, dogs, cats, horses, cattle, for stronger breeding of that species. Many of these horses looked "inbred", I'm glad they are getting culled. Not enough feed over there to maintain them all anyway by the looks of this video. I am looking forward to the reinstatement of slaughter plants in the US. There have been too many horses suffering with nowhere to go these last few years, culling must continue...
Wild horses are seen as pests in the southwest, that much is true but the numbers are dwindling so rapidly that they are actually being considered endangered. Too many are being killed off and no one regulates it very well. Ranchers will kill off wild horses to keep their herds strong, they don't care about wild horses. In New Mexico the native americans own all the wild herds and deal with their numbers accordingly, that is how it needs to be.
Shit happens, get over it. The Spaniards use to cull their herds by running them off cliffs to drown in the oceans in CA. The key word here is management. There should be some feral horses out there, but the numbers right now are far too high. People won't buy them so instead they are kept in midwest states in holding facilities? That seems nice on paper, but it's not a solution and costs you money just to keep them there. Remember, natives and spaniards as well as the use to eat mare meat
I like horses... but wild horses are an introduced species. They compete with native species... the ecosystem in America is not designed to handle their existence. It is our responsibility to return our ecosystem to the way it was before white man interfered. Remove invasive plants and introduced species... restore habitat and reintroduce what animals we can to regions they have been extirpated from. There is no balance and species suffer because of it. This is a neccessary evil, it always will be. Sure there can and will be improvements, but would you rather have horses go to slaughter in mexico where there are hardly any regulations regarding their well being? Round ups must happen! Horses unlike cattle eat 14-20 hours a day and also eat down to the root of native grasses. Cattle feed in the morning and evening. The land these "wild" horses are on can't support the 27,000+ of them. Plus many are inbred. I've seen the destruction they cause

The Native Americans referred do those horses as "heavenly dogs" because they had never seen a horse. The species that you are speaking of became extinct. Most of the "wild" horses in this video were in poor condition. Humans need to cull all animals, dogs, cats, horses, cattle, for stronger breeding of that species. Many of these horses looked "inbred", I'm glad they are getting culled. Not enough feed over there to maintain them all anyway by the looks of this video. I am looking forward to the reinstatement of slaughter plants in the US. There have been too many horses suffering with nowhere to go these last few years, culling must continue...

Wild horses are seen as pests in the southwest, that much is true but the numbers are dwindling so rapidly that they are actually being considered endangered. Too many are being killed off and no one regulates it very well. Ranchers will kill off wild horses to keep their herds strong, they don't care about wild horses. In New Mexico the native americans own all the wild herds and deal with their numbers accordingly, that is how it needs to be.

Shit happens, get over it. The Spaniards use to cull their herds by running them off cliffs to drown in the oceans in CA. The key word here is management. There should be some feral horses out there, but the numbers right now are far too high. People won't buy them so instead they are kept in midwest states in holding facilities? That seems nice on paper, but it's not a solution and costs you money just to keep them there. Remember, natives and spaniards as well as the use to eat mare meat

I like horses... but wild horses are an introduced species. They compete with native species... the ecosystem in America is not designed to handle their existence. It is our responsibility to return our ecosystem to the way it was before white man interfered. Remove invasive plants and introduced species... restore habitat and reintroduce what animals we can to regions they have been extirpated from. There is no balance and species suffer because of it.
