  • Oh yeah! I'm seeing Black Sabbath at Stockholm Stadion on May 26 \m/

  • @MetalFanx2000 då är vi två

  • this song is HARD AS FUCK!!!!!!!! and i don't know what you guys keep talking about that the band isn't good anymore or the singer sucks

nevermind you but this shit should be used in a DBZ amv

  • uma das melhores musicas da era sabbath sem ozzy

  • Black Sabbath?

No. More like "Tony and Friends". With no Geezer or Bill there is no Black Sabbath. Ozzy was replaceable because he didn't really do shit except snort up everyones coke. But without the Geezer and Bill Black Sabbath isn't Black Sabbath. Sorry.

  • @SLAYERMETALLICA357 Maybe you dont like it but Tony Iommi makes Black Sabbath! HE IS BLACK SABBATH!!! He kept the group alive when Ozzy made solo career, Butler had his own group GZR and Ward was almost dead after two heart attacks. Without Iommi, now you will probably be a Lady Gaga fan!!!

  • Black Sabbath have never made a bad album. The only low point was Seventh Star and Never Say Die. IMHO!!!

  • cool riffs! the singing just sounds awkward, though...

  • Kill me now! Kill me now!

The illusion of pooowaaa! ♫♪ nanananana... nanananana....

    Great Song :D

  • Non ho parole per descrivere la genialità di Tony iommi! Questi erano i veri personaggi che hanno fatto la storia della musica!!!

  • SABBATH RULES NO MATTER WHAT! SABBATH IS SABBATH. assholes like that are just jaded by commercial pop charts and what not

  • "Illusion of Power"...omg this is terrible. Spinal Tap's Break like the Wind is better than this.

  • @deathmetalhippy <BOO THIS MAN!!!!!!!!!! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO U SUUUUUUCK! DIIIIIIICK!

  • It doesn't sound as awful as I thought it would, actually. It's definitely not Ozzy Osbourne or Dio era, but it's not bad.

  • its actually not that bad :\

  • I Really Like The Cover Art.

  • The drums sound kick ass

  • "Rapper Ice-t".. I remember him in that cellar metalband 'body count', before it got big. and I tell you, it was no rap.

  • fantastic album, but you have to really feel the dark sabbath atmosphere

  • As I've read reviews I thought this is gonna be some unnatural crap. Ok it's weird some way, but really interesting. I'm an Ozzy era Sabbath fan, but I prefer Martin over Dio much much more, and here he really makes an effort to make something new and different. And Iommi is flawless to me.

  • BLACK SABBATH---''THE ILLUSION OF POWER''

  • I'm not crazy about the Tony Martin era. It's not bad music, it's just not Sabbath.

  • @ludwigvan17 Lol, Im the complete opposite man. Not crazy over Ozzy, prefer Dio outside of Sabbath, and love Tony Martin in Sabbath.

  • well it is most certainly not the best but it Is in no way shitty, this is a very good album

  • Like this song and album anyway.

And I don't care about fucking "very useful opinions" of youtube's users. :)

  • I don't understand, what's bad about Ice-T's short part here. I only appears some seconds and not the whole song or album. I don't like Rap or Hip Hop, but I respect the people listen to it as long as they respect mine.

  • I would have to agree that Never Say Die is better than Technical Ecstasy.

  • Screw the people who hate this just because it has a rap guy on it.

  • esta perra la rola

  • @ramones3311 rsrsrs is in his ass

  • The only thing i can say is i'll give it a shot and hear it through I'm very objective when it comes to bands and music and what band doesnt have bad albums???? they all do all my favorite bands have a bad or bad albums. I strong disagree when you say they didn't care how could they not care its their talent is like a ball player that goes out and plays half ass it cannot be done you give it 100% and if people think is shit then they're entitled to their opinion.

  • Actually a great cd!! great voice and great production, Iommi actually great in this cd, this song is great!!

  • Never heard this Sabbath song. But, the guy singing sounds like the red headed, freckle faced kid Ozzy gave up for adoption.

  • This is pretty good right here. I've always been a big fan of the Ozzy/Dio era and never really listened to the later albums...until now. I also bought Cross Purposes. I dig that one alot.

  • This actually sounds very much classic Sabbath. They were much rawer and simpler in there beginnings, and they've gotten back to that in this album.

  • @unholyimage This is absolutely nothing like vintage early Sabbath. As my high school history teacher Mr. Hand once famously said. What are you, on DOPE!!!!.

  • Still better than that one teen pop singer that gets mentioned on Youtube a lot.

    You know the one.

  • this song is really horrible, i love sabbath but this song is the worst

  • It's really too bad Iommi met Tony Martin. Those five albums could have been great if I didn't have to sit through and bear Martin's ghastly voice. Iommi is my favorite guitarist and always will be, but man he burned a lot of bridges with band members. This album would have been unreal with Dio (and I say that as someone who prefers the Ozzy albums).

  • @akyrii my favourite sabbath singer is Dio, but i love the martin?s albums too...I' m so happy to I can hear them....(not Forbidden)

  • @cisteina1 i agree this is shit

  • Best sabbath song ever.

  • Guys! If you like this sound go check out the brand new band of Steve Sylvester, the frontman and head of the great Death SS, the real children of Black Sabbath. With project the band has managed to mix a strange and raw sound with a lot of prog and evil '70 sabbathic sound. It's simply amazing! The first and ony album, which was released in 2010, is called "The Shining Darkness". You MUST check it out, it's such a great masterpiece!

  • This melody is just evil, fantastic. It's a pity for the sound... They did mean to obtain a very raw sound, but they didn't pump the guitar enough end they didn't give it any kind of scratch, which would be really needed. They ment to have a primordial and kicking sound just as in the first albums, but they could have done a better job if they had made just a little adjustements

  • this is as stupid as In Through the Out Door. its just retarded for them. Ice T? really?

  • @ZOSOrulz1 Well Ice T made a heavy metal band, so...

  • @ZOSOrulz1 In Through the Out Door is a work of genius.

  • @CentraCross no it aint, and you know it. you can tell a steady quality decrease after 2, not that 3,4,5, or 6 were bad, they just didnt showcase their signature their wild, animal sound as much as 1 or 2. btw have you even listened to their other albums? if you did you would agree that ITTOD is retarded.

  • @ZOSOrulz1 I suppose you think Never Say Die also sucks?

  • @CentraCross its not bad.

  • @CentraCross The worst Sabbath album by far is Forbidden. Followed only of course by the: drum roll please!!!!! Never Say Die. For good measure, the only Sabbath singers who ever mattered were Ozzy Osbourne, Ronnie James Dio and Ian Gillan, ( 1983: Born Again).

  • @jwdub75 Oh, and before some jackass reads my previous post. I am well aware that Never Say Die is from the Ozy era, (1978).

  • @jwdub75 I only listen to the Ozzy albums - I don't consider it Sabbath without all 4 birmingham lads. That said - NSD and TE are both great albums. They're just different.

  • @jwdub75 Never Say Die is a fine album, and it's probably better than Technical Ecstasy.

  • ...Iommi, what were you thinking making this piece of crap?

  • This is the ONLY sabbath song I dont like. I truly hate it..

The rest of the album is good for what it is--sabbath can never be what it was with ozzy again (though I love Tony Martins voice)

  • This IS NOT BLACK SABBATH. It's Tony Iommi's pathetic attempt to milk the success the name could give.

It's as if George Harrison made a band WITHOUT Lennon, McCartney & Ringo and had the audacity to name it "Beatles". Simply laughable. Hence, it doesn't matter whether it's good or not, it's definitely NOT Black Sabbath.

  • @metsainatopoulou2 I hate when people argue whether something is sabbath or not. If its under the name BLACK SABBATH its BLACK SABBATH. I dont see anyone saying Iron Maiden isn't Iron maiden because Paul Di'anno isn't there anymore-do I?

  • @ZeppFloydSabbath people are retarded man. I have a big problem with this whole Loyalty over honesty thing. Tony Martin era sabbath was so amazing. Its been proven time and again that all you need for a Sabbath cd is IOMMI and it will be great.

  • Ok.... I respect this

  • Whoever doesn't like this song is caught in a complex catacomb of their own inadequacies and has a soul that secretes insecurity.

  • @bellebrett I like it... i think its just people that fear change are the ones that give it shit reviews.

  • FUCK THE HATERS! This is a good CD with a good vocalist! You're mad because the singer isn't Ozzy or Dio or anyone who's made a name for themselves OUTSIDE of Black Sabbath, but that DOESN'T mean he's a bad vocalist and this isn't bad playing either! And Ice T's involvement was a bit of spoken word in the bridge and some backing vocals! It didn't ruin the song by ANY means! It's a good CD it's just not truly Black Sabbath and THAT'S why you're mad. But it's a good CD.

  • @MMRED this is true but it just doesnt have the same feel, u know

  • @Killingmachinej

Yeah that's true. But what this CD seems to prove most, to me, is that Black Sabbath wins even at their LOWEST points! \m/

But I DO see how this doesn't stack up to their oldest stuff.

  • @MMRED This CD is absolutely unbelievably poor

  • @DillingerEscapeMan Its not bad. Not quite up to the same standard as other Sabbath work but still not bad.

  • @hedbangr141 How bad would it have to get before you thought it was bad then ?

  • @MMRED Im not mad. why would I be mad. Its just a very rudimentary guitar work and very stupid chorus with unemotional silly lyrics.

  • @MMRED Its trully Black Sabbath my friend... Listen to the riffs!!! Who else can compose such guitar riffs except the fingerless riff master Tony Iommi..... Even his personal albums are Black Sabbath.... Black Sabbath are there when Iommi is there!!! The abscence of Iommi makes Black Sabbath, no Black Sabbath!!!

  • @drummerhellas

Yeah, you make a good point. Tony Iommi is Black Sabbathj. But when I said "Not truly Black Sabbath" I mean not truly THE Black Sabbath that most people look back on. But yeah, you're right.

  • @MMRED ;-)

  • This song would rule if it didn't have keyboards.

  • ice t sang on this song

  • oh no!

  • Stop saying this album is bad, forbidden has some awsome tracks, like: Rusty angles, Guilty as hell, kiss of death, get a grip, can't get close enough and forbidden.

  • Hahahahahahaha

  • Iommi has said that this Album is CRAP. They just didnt spend the time and energy on it and contractual obligations is obvious excuse. Iommi's guitar is always good!

  • Not even close to their worst album. Never Say Die and Technical Ecstasy are far worse than this one. Besides, the Tony Martin era is unbelieveably underrated. Headless Cross is one of their best.

  • This may be the worst Sabbath album, but that doesn't mean much, it's still good music. Actually I want to know, what's worse, this album, or Never say Die?

  • Comment removed

  • man this vocals sucks.

  • Don't expect Tony to play something that can convince you that he's still the young kid from an industrial town who created a new sound that blew us away the first time we heard it. Then again, we're not the same person who discovered their first few albums. He's a 65 yr old man that never stopped playing; he's continued to invent new thumping riffs in a flooded market in which it seems most riff ideas have been used Much respect to Sir Tony Iommi.

  • I've read that the only reason the band did this album was to end their contractual obligations . Its rumored that due to this, they didn't take it very seriously

Iommi's guitar work seems to be pretty good on this, but it just doesn't seem to have the same feel as their earlier work with Ozzy and Dio

  • @DeadlyInsomnia That's a common misconception. It was acctually the very rare best of album The sabbath stones that was the album to close Iommi contract with the record company. And allso. the band took Forbidden seriously. Its just that they wanted to make a raw and simple album in just about two weeks or so. Like how they made their debut album. Some people may say it missfired badly. But i for one likes Forbidden

  • @JanoSeishu420 this was the worst album by sabbath ,do your homework ..

  • @Defcon737: Whether a body is work is the best or worst ever, is a matter of subjective opinion. Jano likes it, you don't and neither do I, but it's better to leave someone to their tastes. There are a couple of decent tracks on this CD nonetheless.

  • @SYLFan2008 your right there are a ...COUPLE.. of decent tracks ..

  • well this sucked

  • this song has a kinda megadeth twist to it with the voical style hahahaha in a way ...lestto me it dose :L

  • a really bad album but this song (man but i hate this fucking rap here it destroys the song) and get a grip are 2 good songs in my opinion.

  • this album wasn't that bad but this song is awful

  • man, iommi's guitar sounds really..."painfull". i love this together with tony martin's voice.

  • the absolut worst sabbath song ever MArti is one of the whorst sngers ever

  • i like it fuck offfff bitchesss. listen to the lyricss

  • Guitar Riff = Awesome

Tony Martin = WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING and distracting us from the good riff!

  • @DoomMetalSludge thats not tony talking its ice t... which is even worse

  • In my opinion, and keep in mind this is just my Opinion; This shouldn't be called a black sabbath album, Toni is the only original member at this point! I don't give a damn if he owns the name or not, it isn't black sabbath without Terry Or Bill! again this is just my opinion!

  • I had no idea that was Ice-T... But that's not what makes the song bad.

  • Ice-T!!

  • I love Black Sabbath... but this sucks balls.

  • I must say this must be "Black Sabbath´s " Las Vegas act .-)

  • good job¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • this album isnt as bad as everyone says it is.

  • True! But then again, it's Sabbath, so it couldn't quite be bad at all, could it now : )

  • @Fan666Maiden no its a great album imo.

  • @killerdugong No it's worse

  • i was 13 when this came out i bought it and fucking loved it

  • haha what a joke

  • This is just superb! love it

  • I'm pretty sure this song proves the point that Ice-t is the best singer of Black Sabbath.

  • horrible

  • Why don't you go play on the highway you ignorant dicK? This Sabbath record is very underrated just because Ozzy or Dio isn't singing on it.

  • in my opinion dio is the best singer in Black Sabbath : )

  • @2pac4ava true true

  • Broke out this CD today for the first time years. Tony Martin was great as the lead singer for the group

  • Its strange but I have a different song under the same name. Same album but a very different song. But still Tony Martin kicks ass. I like him better than Ozzy.

  • This song is my Sabbath guilty pleasure. I just love it.

  • IT comming allready

  • Black Sabbath was nothing in the middle of 90'S. Tony Martin safe BS for the gig mistake!! First time when i see BS was 1995 and Tony Martin on the vocals! Never seen the Gig. I been Metal head all my life. Tony Martin have to do some great soon. Responsibility to all metall. BUT 90'S Sucks!!! Expect Tiny Martin and BS!!!

  • The best singer in Black Sabbath, ever.

  • Ughhh...

  • Doom metal Rap yipee

  • lol! ice t is rocking the fuck out! Hahahah! that nigg is craiiisiiieee!!!

  • @clankyclause yo ees cool

  • I don't care what the critics say, I think Ernie C, the guitarist from Body Count, did a great job producing this album. I would buy it.

  • Ok, this song is pretty badass for what it is. I love the heavy riffs on this song, they match the scene on the cover perfectly!

  • the heaviest song ever...

  • It's really a good song, but it's really not "black sabbath"... You got my meaning? It's awesome, but different. Maybe this is why it's awesome? It's special...

  • wtf is this shit????!!!! definitely not black sabbath!

  • Tony Martin certainly gives the song a quality, regardless the spoken word lines. But what the fuck was that part from 2.25 to 2.40? No, I don't think that this really matches Sabbath's style at all.

  • it's the rapper Ice T lol

  • Man oh man. Tony Martin sounds like he is just happy he still had a job.

  • @Zardoz99 it is ice t on this !

  • This is good! I didn't expect it because of the Ice-T thing. I thought he was going to rap.

  • This is actually damn good. I don't understand the disdain towards it.

  • Forbidden is a very underappreciated album. The only song I don't really like is Shaking Off the Chains.

I avoided The Illusion of Power for a long time because I heard about the Ice-T thing...but when I listened to it, I was pleasently surprised, since he doesn't rap, he SPEAKS his line.

Excellent song on an excellent album.

  • Comment removed

  • To be honest he is the only original member on this album so I suppose its more like a solo album really

  • iommi is awesome

  • Oh man.... this is the lowest point of Sabbath.

  • yeah, so, not as horrible as everyone makes it out to be

  • @JoniK83 sabbath has no low point

  • You can still tell it's sabbath, Iommi's guitar playing still stands out.

  • tuna cagada el tema aguante ozzy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • dude are you retarded dio didnt do no fake shit with sabbath you fucken goon if you actually read the lyrics dummy you will realize there songs have a meaning dumbass you just gotta use your brain wich i dont think you got

  • tony martin amo su voz

  • black sabbtah rules \m/

  • is true??? Ice T whith black sabbath???

  • This is a great song, very doomy! Who cares about Ice T and that part more than "Rap" is a "Spoken" one and fits the song very well.

  • Well I Like it !!

  • maybe tony just wanted to try a new thing just like anthrax did by working with rap jeeze people just chill

  • This is my first listen. I can't say I like it that much, but i think it's like St. Anger for Sabbath. It takes getting used to.

  • This album was absolutely panned by fans and critics alike, but it is one of those recordings that takes a few listens before it grows on you. "Forbidden" is NOT the bona fide classic that "Paranoid" and "Master of Reality" were, but it does not deserve to be entirely overlooked. I thought the rap part worked out OK in this song, and Get A Grip was a memorable riff. If you can get the foreign release of this album, get the song LOSER GETS IT ALL an awesome track omitted from the American one.

  • This doesnt really sound like Martins voice, I mean I know its him. I don't like the Ice T guest vocals at all, though its cool to hear that he likes sabbath. The opening riff was pretty good, but the drums sounded awful, and the mixing didnt seem to good. 2/5 I guess just because of that, but the reason it wasnt a 1 was because of Iommi's riff.

  • Why is this Rap Poser in the Song?

  • That has been circling in my head for many years when I hear this killer song. I guess the answer is because Iommi allowed it but WHY? Yah, I also strongly feel that this Rap crap guy didn't need to be on any Sabbath.

  • It's Ice-T, and he's good. His guitarist from Body Count produced this whole album.

  • I just think how funny how people judge the song just because there's a rapper on it.

Just for your info. Ice-T has a rock band called Body Called.

Poser/Tr00 is for 13 year retarded... please...

  • is body count not body called

whatever... sabbath is a fuckin great band!!!

  • Yeah, body count, just confused everything

  • Its cool to know ice t has a respect for these legends he is one of the very few hip hop artists that understands that if rock music didnt exist hip hop wouldnt. Along with jazz and blues, rock is one of the biggest influences in hip hop. Im huge fan of both sabbath and ice t.

  • Here's a word of advice: Tony Martin and Ice T should never sing together, let alone write songs together. Tony Martin just doesn't seem like a rap guy, and this song sounds like it.

  • I thought this record was a pile of dirt but i actually like it. The annoying thing is that I don't know what it is that appeals to me! Perhaps it's just the power of recognising elements of the music... Iommis strings and Martins vocals..

  • who was the singer in Sabbath in this song?

  • Tony Martin.

  • the best singers in Black sabbath...
