Also if you know anything about HIV or Hep C, you would know that they are blood based viruses, you can't get HIV which means you can't get HIV from someone spitting on you unless they are spitting pure blood in your eyes.

Thank God this was recorded. I am retired law enforcement and this officer needs time in jail himself. This type of behaviour is not tolerated nor should it ever be. The law mandates to police officers the right to use only enough force necessary to effect the arrest, and we are instructed that if we exceed that force, we ourselves become the aggressor and charges may be brought against us. I suspect that woman and rightly so, may be living high on the hog (no pun intended).

All she had to do was: not be rude on the bus, leave the bus when the bus driver asked, leave the bus when the police asked, not resist, not spit, . If you want to dismiss all the events prior to the action and ask "is this excessive force?" I would say yes Considering the events prior to the slap i would say no. I work with guys who have been exposed to saliva, blood and simple skin to skin and had to spend months waiting for results. Staph infection is on the rise among responders. Also if you know anything about HIV or Hep C, you would know that they are blood based viruses, you can't get HIV which means you can't get HIV from someone spitting on you unless they are spitting pure blood in your eyes.
