Buck Owens and the Buckaroos Live in London, it's available on Sundazed, I think
with some additional tracks not available on the original version. I'm not an employee of Sundazed, but they've done a great job of re-releasing every one of Buck's albums from his first through 1969. The sound quality'll knock you out.
I did not actively pursue looking for clips from the year 1969, only pics from the Beatles' era and the Buckaroos' heyday. No splitting hairs here, just giving the people something to do with their eyes while they listen to some good music. Thanks for stopping by.
me and my dad half-drunkenlly stumbled across this last night and i think its great. Simply put it kiks ass. think i'll have to go get the old telecaster and see what i can pick up from this.
Their "Live in London" album is far and away the best live album Buck's ever put out, followed in a close second by their '66 Carnegie Hall concert album. Thanks for the kind comment! Glad you enjoyed it!
Sharon, like you I grew up listening to Buck Owens and I will never forget the day I got the news that Buck had passed away, a part of my early live had gone and I shall treasure those memories of Buck forever, I have been fortunate enough to have seen Buck live in concert on a couple of occasions here in Ireland and I will always remember those shows, thanks for posting this clip and keeping BUCK OWENS at the top where he truly deserves to be.
Oh Raymond, that was exactly what I was feeling that day in 2006, like my childhood was gone and now, here am I, an adult with responsibilities, and I can't ever go back, and now Buck Owens is gone. I know that sounds melodramatic, but...
Gotta tell ya Sharon, I've always liked Buck Owens! Being a child of the sixties....(wow!) I grew up watching "Hee Haw"! Now Buck Owens and Roy Clark were two of my mom's favorites, and that's the kind of music (and bluegrass) that we were exposed to until our early teens, when we got a hold of our older brother's records(The Buckinghams, my favorite late 60's group) My mom's memory isn't that good anymore, but she remembers Buck Owens! Thank you Sharon.
Y'know, Jim, it's funny how we were made to listen to our parents' music, and back then it was just ambient music, a soundtrack for a simpler time. Now as adults, we see the value of that music, and if you're anything like me you find yourself going out and buying the music your parents made you listen to. I think now about how the music I play around Michaela is going to impact her later on in life.
You wouldn't know it by lookin at me Sharon, but I really like Bluegrass (Old and New)! My parents had an old blue radio that sat on the kitchen table and all we heard was old-time bluegrass music. Now I swore that I would never like country music, but you know what, It's one of my favorite kinds of music!
WOW..this was interesting in many ways..Fun to see how young people were dressed at the time. My sister was a big fan of Buck Owens around the -70,s so she had a lot of record,s:-)I remember most of all "A tiger by the tail" and "Act Naturally". Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! The Buckaroos were the very first group I ever got into as a 5-year-old. I got into them from watching reruns of his old TV show on the NBC affiliate in Lancaster, PA. Buck made 10 live albums in 10 years, and the London album is my all-time fave, followed closely by Carnegie Hall. As for the video, I liked the girl in the yellow hose, the girl with the stare, and the dog. I tried to make it fast-paced to match the mood of the song. The Buckaroos were big Beatles fans, obviously.
Neat video, nice track. Not currently streaming in stereo however.

Not Sure about '69. Looking at the pictures it seems to be more like 1965 or 1966. Anyway, very nice to watch.
