Mine would be when the zombies pull apart Captain Rhodes in Day of the Dead, but this sounds pretty gory too lol. I have this on my list and I really want to see it.
@Midnitekrawlr - thanks happy 4th too, but I am Canadian, Canada day was on the 1st for us but no problems Happy 4th to my dear Neighbor the United States!
I haven't seen it but your review definitely makes me wanna go out and get it now. Might I recommend two more insanely gory, over-the-top Asian splatter films to satiate your needs -- The Story of Ricky (1991) and Tokyo Gore Police (2008). I don't think you'll be disappointed if you've become addicted to high-octane Japanese super gore. The former is an action/gore/comedy with the funniest dubbing you've ever heard and the latter is just, well, f-ckin' bizarre.
It's not too gory but have you ever seen "Hausu" (1977)? A Japanese classic, totally nuts and crazy. Maybe you should check it out. Look for a trailer.
The goriest movie I've ever seen is "Braindead" (1992). In the US it's called "Dead Alive" I guess. Have you seen Peter Jackson's work prior to "Lord Of The Rings"? If not maybe you should! Perhaps you have? Is "Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl" gorier than "Braindead"? Without any CGI by the way...
wonderful

I love this film. Though the wrist cutting scenes made me cringe too.
