  • @gunzfactory At the time it had open cutouts, very VERY loud and gets old after a while, I took them off and went true dual with x pipe and no mufflers, sounds pretty good and doesn't wake the dead lol

  • @EMHbelmonte Oh this is nothing, I just happened to have the camera on for this. Honestly I have slowed down as of late, I don't want to be responsible for people getting hurt but I have had some crazy runs in this 4.0.

  • I've heard mixed results with the TB spacers, Chevys seem to get power out of them but Ford and Dodge don't

  • Yeah the cutouts were right under the seats... it was annoying as hell after a while, now with straight pipes out the back it's just as loud under full throttle but only for the person behind me :) smooth as hell in the car and idle isn't too loud at all

  • SCT tuner, there's a setting to remove the top speed limiter, I also used ot to recalibrate the speedo for the 3.73 gears and it has a 91 performance tune that's paired up with the cold air intake

  • yeah after about 110 the pickup isn't so great, but if you have enough road i've heard of people hitting about 155 with the 4.0.

    All I have is CAI, trac-lok, 3.73 gears, dual exhaust with muffler delete and a custom tune for 91

  • Nice, I was expecting an aluminum ds in there somewhere lol. I got an 08 4.0 hopefully x-chargin it in a couple years.

  • I'm in the same boat! That's the easiest SC for the 4.0, 2 hour install and powerful enough to beat a GT but not powerful enough to require a rear end swap.

  • Thats what I love about it, capable of good numbers and doesn't require any tapping of the oil pan or upgrading rods or anything.

  • u should consider addin the BBK throttle body to ur intake and maybe a $90 Airraid spacer too, they make enough of a difference and plus it provides a mechanical noise that sounds a bit like a turbo blowoff valve

  • dont waste money on a spacer or a throttle body they dont give any gains

  • @MrStangaroo The 4.0 can actually go that fast safely?

  • dual cutouts, one on each side right before the Y pipe, sound insane in the cab though, I recently got dual pipes with 2.5 inch x pipe and a muffler delete, nice and quiet in the cab but still roars behind the car, better back pressure too
