Vítězslav Novák - Autumn Symphony, mvt. 1 (pt. 2/2)

The May Symphony was broadcast by Czech Radio Vltavá four years ago (March 21, 2007, 8pm). The performers were Daniela Šounová, Lubomír Vraspír, the Czech Radio choir of Prague (choir master Milan Malý), the Prague male chorus a Pražský mužský sbor (choir master Miroslav Košler), the Prague Symphony Orchestra FOK. The conductor was Vladimír Válek. Sadly I was delayed that evening and arrived home too late. Czech Radio certainly has an archive recording of this.

I understand that the Czech Phil under the direction of Ondrej Lenard recently gave a concert performance of Novak's May Sym on Nov 4-5 2010. Let's hope there'll be a Czech FM radio broadcast of that performance some day. Check out those concert dates at the Czech Phil Orch site at ceskafilharmonie.cz

@JP250506 I must say I didn't notice that the Czech Phil gave May Symphony. I hope the Autumn Sym will be given in Prague someday. I look forward very much to hear it with the acoustic qualities of a concert hall.

It would truly spectacular if you could follow this up by posting a complete recording of Novak's sister composition, the wartime May Symphony (Majova-Symfonie) !!!
