Watch for some very subtle comedy here, too. Right after Barney chastises the partygoers for touching the rock, they pass it around and touch it again.
this is the first ernest t episode i ever watched, back when we got our first satellite dish in the mid-90s and my dad had me sitting up all night watching TAGS marathon. He's been one of my favorite characters ever since :)
"Now maybe if you gave it another chance with Hogget, with a more proper courtship." "she' spoken for now, yeah she gunna marry the taxidermist what sewd up her head" LMAO!!!
Good old Mr. Schwump! :-) To this day Andy Griffith fans have been unable to find out the real name of the actor who played him. Even the cast and crew of TAGS was asked about his identity but they all were unable to remember! This is the biggest mystery of them all. Who is/was Mr. Schwump?
Just in case you are a total idiot ernest to is one of the shows Produers and did several TWILGHT ZONE SHOWS, GUNSMOKE and a Johnny EWEMAH show. No its not engrained in him, its a total act.
@Overwatch118 The actor that played Ernest T. Bass also was in an episode of The Dick Van Dyke show. He played an Art Historian/antique dealer. In the episode where they go to an auction for research for a skit. They end up buying something weird and by accident they buy what appears to be a worthless painting. The name of the episode is called The Masterpiece.
His behavior patterns are a permanent fixture of his behavior. Now when you've got patterns that are ingrained, any conflicting conflicts that you might inflict, they might cause a traumatic...trauma.
That guy ought to be locked up and the key thrown away!
