Very nice stuff. Like a trailer for some cheesy B-movie from the eighties. If shot with a professional movie camera it could pass as one of the fake Grindhouse trailers - if only it contained more gore, but I suppose that's a budget thing. As for a self-made amateur trailer it is very well executed - especially the narration seems 100% professional. The editing and acting is quite good as well. Congratulations, good work!

XD, reminds me of some of the older horror movies from the 70s and 80s. Death Bed springs to mind immediately. Seems like it could be an interesting concept for a novelty/comedy horror flick at least.

It reminds me of the miniseries The Lost Room and the series Friday the 13th. Mundane objects that give people extraordinary abilities or carry some terrible curse. This one looks like it could have an original slant on that theme.

This is a neat concept, I like the idea of an abstract object being a source of fear, instead of something obvious like a guy with a knife or one of those stupid Japanese little girl ghosts.

This means you actually have to assign meaning and backstory to the object to make it frightening, rather than relying on a frightening image. I wish more horror movies were character motivated and story related, rather than relating to the fear of death.

I must say it´s pretty well done. The filming is very good, with low angles, closeups and so on. It´s good flow. Sometimes I have to admit though that the low budget shines through, in some scenes.

However, this looks both interesting and funny.

Interesting. The story reminds me of Pulp Fiction a little bit, the flashing effects remind me of Windows Movie Maker. Maybe you could've left those out. Did like the pun about "opening" :)

Seems like an interesting concept, although there isn't much of a clear definition of the story or any particular protagonists or antagonists (unless they are the same). The narrator is barely passable, with some of the included music surprisingly decent for a fan movie. The climax lacks the tense build-up typically found in horror, suspense, or action movie trailers, but some of the effects with the suitcase and text work well. The flashbacks are nice, but unexplored.

This reminds me of a tales from the crypt episode, where a man at the door would arrive and offer the couple a briefcase containing one million dollars. the catch is that someone would die, though it would be nobody they knew. was a great episode, and i like that there are some original creative thinkers out there looking to keep the independant genre alive. the style was very much in keeping with the B movie genre, very much in that trauma edge tv, eighties schlock horror, very good!

Well, I agree with some of the others: the narrator is very over the top. Maybe the trailer should just speak for itself until the end and THEN the narrator would start talking?

Other than that I thought it was fine, but that part in the end where the moviebits start going fast - I think it would work better if it was shorter.

What I really loved was that 1930/Sleepy Hollow writing in the end! "The Suitcase" - very cool. I would love if the movie was in old-and-forgotten-film black & white!!

i'd say I agree with ill chicken 10 on the over the top thing. It starts really epic, serious, quality looking film, but then turns a bit quirky which I feel undermines it a bit. Easily solved, maybe if you changed the last shot, got rid of the smoking case, changed the type and had slightly more subtle narration, less cheesy stuff it would maintain the epic, quality feel of the start/middle of the trailer? It looks great though, when did you make it? Did it cost much? good job :-)

i think it will be a great film. although there are a few questions in which i have. first of all are you purposly trying to make it sort of over done in a sense? if you are i also think it is a good idea because many suspense fantasies can be in a sort of low budget sense. love the trailer looking forward to watching the film.

It's pretty good, I especially like the end effect on the title:). A few things - the first shot is confusing and too long. I don't think that first shot should be a close up because we hear people talking but all we see is a hand for about 5 seconds-maybe a quick shot of the person's face and then cut to that shot.Otherwise, good music, sound effects, good transitions, excellent variety of shots.The whole thing is maybe a little cliche, but you know what?The whole genre is a cliche so it works!

its great except for 46-50 it transitions way to fast i wud leave out tht weird hand olding the girls arm so if u ever do make a movie people hav no clue if its monters or a time warp thing or people go crazy and start killing each other, i liked it it reminded me of tarantinos fake movie trailers in the movie grindhouse, not saying yours was phony , but the style of transition an narration was similar the actual film for those previews where over the top gore haha hoped that helped peace

Honesty....The narrator is a bit over the top. Photography is good. All and all not bad, just a bit talkitive. I like the music...creepy shit!!
