I dont get why you lot are all passing comment on beiber, if anything you shouldn't care. He's the pinnacle of throw away culture, much like a tissue. Whilst its serves its purpose for a short period of time there is only so much egotistical masturbation that it can endure before it breaks up into tiny little bits and is cast aside.
It had a solid theme which is more than I can say for most AMVs hosted here. Kind of lost focus though when it started to switch to Suzaku. Also subtitles always bug me.
My suggestion would be to "acquire" the OZC bluray rips and redo this with some more scenes of evil Lelouch (god knows there are plenty of them to use), less Suzaku and get rid of the subtitles and watermarks that drag the quality down.
One does just die if every man forget him or her... so lelouch is something like a Symbol, Immortal or a God in this no one will forget him and no one will be greater... someone who DESTROYS Worlds and someone who CREATE Worlds? well i dont no another being that could do this^^

As for me i believe lelouch is alive. for one he never breaks a promise, he made the world at peace. another one of his promise is to make cc happy. also i believe his code awakened when he died and nunnaly touched him(see the flashbacks?) so he attained code + geass like cc and thus hes immortal.

That is a fact, because when Nunally touched him, she saw his memories which has no logical explanation other than that Lelouch is an immortal. But what the author does, is not completely expose this fact, so it remains a 'mystery', because he knows that a lot of people use their emotions to judge the ending of Code Geass. Even with the knowledge of him being alive, it is still epic because it wasn't exposed.

If Orange's Geass Canceller can remove the effects of Lelouch's Geass on a person, then does that mean Lelouch can cast a different Geass on the same person, or will they be immune like normal?
I'm sort of okay with the fact of Shirley dying because I just can't see her dealing with Lelouch's death, it would had been too hard for her, just like it was for Nunully.
if you get controll of geass when you get it in both eyes and dont go insane.
if you get controll of geass you get to kill people with "codes" (c.c. v.v. charles) know this because charles got controll of his geass and killed v.v. and stole her code.
thats one of the reasons leluch was able to kill charles because he got controll of it. scince he didnt kill the person who gave him the geass he now had both the code and geass. thats why leluch is still alive
@Dbest002 you got it wrong my friend, Charles took V.V.' code because it was necessary for the Ragnarok junction, he didn't killed him, V.V. when he lost his code he lost his immortality which he bestowed it upon Charles. Lelouch when he got the 2nd Geass it ment that he fully mastered the power of Geass. What tells that Lelouch is alive is the end when he made a contract with Suzaku and bestowed a Geass upon him. If he was able to do it, then he was already immortal (same thing C.C. did to him)
@Kalimdor199 lelouch didn't give suzaku geass he just cast the "live on" geass on him. the contract between them after he killed charles was just that if he helped him achieve his goal first then he could kill em. also the only thing they needed for the ragnarok junction was both codes so v.v. didn't have to be dead. v.v. just got jelous of mariane and killed her. then he lied to charls again. charls got pissed at him for lying to him twice so he STOLE v.v.'s code.
Its funny how people think death is the end of life when in truth no one is really certain of what happens. As it has been shown through time your actions make you immortal not in body but in soul and depending on your actions you will still influence the people in the world as if you were still alive. Thats why you cant be dissapointed in Lelouches death for he paid the ultimate price and was awarded with immortality.
If you look at how immortality works in Code Geass, it would be possible for Lelouch to be alive after having died. C.C. demonstrates in the first episode; getting shot in the head, dying, and then resurrecting. This would not contradict the show's Creators stating that he was dead, even though they also stated Nunnlay died when the Felija/nuke went off.This makes their testimony a little less sound, and the above, I believe, provides enough leeway for Lelouch to have died, yet still live.

Lelouch had reached the level wherein he could accept C.C.'s Code at any time. The ending suggests rather directly that he did in fact use this workaround to survive his own death and flee his old life entirely with C.C., presumably now mortal. Accepting immortality to stop the lineage of Geass is a way more epic sacrifice then mere death.
@Taggerattack2 It's true that Lelouch might have possibly acted as you have suggested. However that weakens the final resolution, Lelouch accepted all the evil and hate of the world and concentrated it in his person. By dying he allowed peace to be given a chance. However if Lelouch survived (even to seal Geass) then if just one person recognized him it would invalidate the entire Zero Requiem. And he couldn't stay away from Nunnaly which would mean that eventually he'd be seen.
@AquilisDranzer I don't think it'd really invalidate the Requiem - if America had caught Osama bin Laden a year ago, would it have changed our military directives? Unlikely. Once events are set into motion on such a large scale, individuals become eclipsed by the machinery of fate - no one is more aware of this then Lelouch, of course. The catharsis of his death and Zero Requiem were real - in that new world, it would be easy enough for him to move about unseen anyway. No one would be looking.
@Taggerattack2 You are right. The requiem might not be invalidated by the presence of Lelouch. I hadn't considered your argument. At the same time Lelouch was 1 man who was able to influence the course of the entire world; so that would seem to prove that individuals do retain some influence on the world stage. The Mass Catharsis is real, but what would happen do you think if word got out that the demon emperor was still alive? There would likely be mass hysteria and panic.
@Necroblade Nah, people would be upset for a while, either Zero or the world government would announce a Lelouch-hunt, nothing would happen, and people would forget. Without epic speeches and terrorist attacks, just knowing that he's OUT THERE can only keep people on edge for so long.

@lordofthecuttingmoon Losing the Code makes her mortal - as evident in both V.V. and Lelouch's mother, it doesn't kill the former immortal or cause accelerated aging the way losing immortality tends to in other stories. V.V is killed by his injuries, and Lelouch's mother takes her own life. C.C., having companionship and pizza, could very easily decide to hold off on that.
@Taggerattack2 how did Marianne have the Code? she was killed by V.V. and still had use of a Geass power, meaning that she could not have C.C.'s code since C.C. is the one she made a contract with. also, i know it was probably because of the struggle and all but the nun who raised C.C and forced the code on her died afterwards. there are just so many inconsistancies like, if C.C didn't have the code, wouldn't her mark disappear? she still had it in the end.
@lordofthecuttingmoon My bad, when I said Marianne I meant the nun. She killed herself after transferring the Code - the knife and the blood make that pretty obvious. Where does it show CC having her mark post-Requiem? In the hay cart seen, her hair covers her forehead and no red is visible.
Lelouch did what no other could. He became the one evil of the world so he would die and the would would change for the better. He walked with his head held high towards his own destruction. He did it for a better, freer, world and he should be held in the highest degree of respect for it.
You know how CC was talking to Lelouch in the last scene. I think she was talking to him in spirit. You know when someone dies but you feel as though they're still with you :)
Lelouch, Because he has the initiative as well as the intelligence going for him. Maybe they'd be a little more equal if Shikamaru wasn't so apathetic
@Sannin10001 I think they're pretty evenly matched. Chess between the two of them would likely end in a stalemate every time. They're both tactically brilliant. In life, however, Lelouch is older so he has more experience and he's also bitter, and has a bit of a god complex. He does everything for his sister, but he was probably a little crazy. Shikamaru's more stable, and more likely to take a course of action like Lelouch's which involves killing even those not involved in a struggle.

i thought if you give someone the power of geass you become immortal, cause he gives suzaku the geass power, but then again, it says in the show that you half to kill the person who gave you the power to become immortal. so would that make suzaku immortal now.
Lelouch never gave Suzaku a geass power because they never entered a contract like Lelouch did with CC. Lelouch would have had to be immortal already like CC when he died, meaning having a Code (which of course would have nullified him dying anyways) and had entered a contract with Suzaku (meaning Suzaku would have had a geass ability) in order for a code of immortality to pass to Suzaku when he killed Lelouch.

That. Lelouch is a tragic hero, meaning he accepts his fate, doing the morally correct choice, but dies for it. How much LESS epic would the ending be if he lived?
If he lived it would take the meaning out of his whole 'sacrifice myself'. Leaving it a mystery is the creators ways of making people want to keep watching and buying code geass things, so they won't say he died outright, but his entire point was that he was sacrificing himself for a better world.
The point of killing himself could have also been the means of activating his Code. That's if you believe in the theory that he took his father's Code when Charles died. It served the duel purpose of not only making him immortal like CC but also making the world better by "sacrificing" himself for the greater good. I can't believe Lulu died because he always had a plan and usually his plan was more than what it seemed on the surface.

@docspencer that's exactly what i thought! his death made the ending so beautiful! i'm so sick of ppl saying they think he lived or want him to live. i love lelouch as much as the next person ESPECIALLY because of what he did in the end. it was sad and i cried but his sacrifice is wat made the ending so great. the best series i've ever seen is code geass. the depth was moving. some ppl just don't understand wat a great series needs. they'd only be content with "everyone lived happily ever after"

@Dbest002 you got it wrong my friend, Charles took V.V.' code because it was necessary for the Ragnarok junction, he didn't killed him, V.V. when he lost his code he lost his immortality which he bestowed it upon Charles. Lelouch when he got the 2nd Geass it ment that he fully mastered the power of Geass. What tells that Lelouch is alive is the end when he made a contract with Suzaku and bestowed a Geass upon him. If he was able to do it, then he was already immortal (same thing C.C. did to him)

@Kalimdor199 lelouch didn't give suzaku geass he just cast the "live on" geass on him. the contract between them after he killed charles was just that if he helped him achieve his goal first then he could kill em. also the only thing they needed for the ragnarok junction was both codes so v.v. didn't have to be dead. v.v. just got jelous of mariane and killed her. then he lied to charls again. charls got pissed at him for lying to him twice so he STOLE v.v.'s code.

Its funny how people think death is the end of life when in truth no one is really certain of what happens. As it has been shown through time your actions make you immortal not in body but in soul and depending on your actions you will still influence the people in the world as if you were still alive. Thats why you cant be dissapointed in Lelouches death for he paid the ultimate price and was awarded with immortality.

If you look at how immortality works in Code Geass, it would be possible for Lelouch to be alive after having died. C.C. demonstrates in the first episode; getting shot in the head, dying, and then resurrecting. This would not contradict the show's Creators stating that he was dead, even though they also stated Nunnlay died when the Felija/nuke went off.This makes their testimony a little less sound, and the above, I believe, provides enough leeway for Lelouch to have died, yet still live.

@VykkDraygo115 Also, regarding the last scene with C.C. supposedly speaking to Lelouch in the wagon cart: you do not end any show with an "or is it?" ending unless you plan to make something of it. Therefore, I believe that the 99th Emperor of Britannia died, yet Lelouch lives.

Lelouch had reached the level wherein he could accept C.C.'s Code at any time. The ending suggests rather directly that he did in fact use this workaround to survive his own death and flee his old life entirely with C.C., presumably now mortal. Accepting immortality to stop the lineage of Geass is a way more epic sacrifice then mere death.

@Taggerattack2 It's true that Lelouch might have possibly acted as you have suggested. However that weakens the final resolution, Lelouch accepted all the evil and hate of the world and concentrated it in his person. By dying he allowed peace to be given a chance. However if Lelouch survived (even to seal Geass) then if just one person recognized him it would invalidate the entire Zero Requiem. And he couldn't stay away from Nunnaly which would mean that eventually he'd be seen.

@AquilisDranzer I don't think it'd really invalidate the Requiem - if America had caught Osama bin Laden a year ago, would it have changed our military directives? Unlikely. Once events are set into motion on such a large scale, individuals become eclipsed by the machinery of fate - no one is more aware of this then Lelouch, of course. The catharsis of his death and Zero Requiem were real - in that new world, it would be easy enough for him to move about unseen anyway. No one would be looking.

@Taggerattack2 You are right. The requiem might not be invalidated by the presence of Lelouch. I hadn't considered your argument. At the same time Lelouch was 1 man who was able to influence the course of the entire world; so that would seem to prove that individuals do retain some influence on the world stage. The Mass Catharsis is real, but what would happen do you think if word got out that the demon emperor was still alive? There would likely be mass hysteria and panic.

@Necroblade Nah, people would be upset for a while, either Zero or the world government would announce a Lelouch-hunt, nothing would happen, and people would forget. Without epic speeches and terrorist attacks, just knowing that he's OUT THERE can only keep people on edge for so long.

@lordofthecuttingmoon Losing the Code makes her mortal - as evident in both V.V. and Lelouch's mother, it doesn't kill the former immortal or cause accelerated aging the way losing immortality tends to in other stories. V.V is killed by his injuries, and Lelouch's mother takes her own life. C.C., having companionship and pizza, could very easily decide to hold off on that.

@Taggerattack2 how did Marianne have the Code? she was killed by V.V. and still had use of a Geass power, meaning that she could not have C.C.'s code since C.C. is the one she made a contract with. also, i know it was probably because of the struggle and all but the nun who raised C.C and forced the code on her died afterwards. there are just so many inconsistancies like, if C.C didn't have the code, wouldn't her mark disappear? she still had it in the end.

@lordofthecuttingmoon My bad, when I said Marianne I meant the nun. She killed herself after transferring the Code - the knife and the blood make that pretty obvious. Where does it show CC having her mark post-Requiem? In the hay cart seen, her hair covers her forehead and no red is visible.

@Sannin10001 I think they're pretty evenly matched. Chess between the two of them would likely end in a stalemate every time. They're both tactically brilliant. In life, however, Lelouch is older so he has more experience and he's also bitter, and has a bit of a god complex. He does everything for his sister, but he was probably a little crazy. Shikamaru's more stable, and more likely to take a course of action like Lelouch's which involves killing even those not involved in a struggle.

i thought if you give someone the power of geass you become immortal, cause he gives suzaku the geass power, but then again, it says in the show that you half to kill the person who gave you the power to become immortal. so would that make suzaku immortal now.

Lelouch never gave Suzaku a geass power because they never entered a contract like Lelouch did with CC. Lelouch would have had to be immortal already like CC when he died, meaning having a Code (which of course would have nullified him dying anyways) and had entered a contract with Suzaku (meaning Suzaku would have had a geass ability) in order for a code of immortality to pass to Suzaku when he killed Lelouch.

If he lived it would take the meaning out of his whole 'sacrifice myself'. Leaving it a mystery is the creators ways of making people want to keep watching and buying code geass things, so they won't say he died outright, but his entire point was that he was sacrificing himself for a better world.

The point of killing himself could have also been the means of activating his Code. That's if you believe in the theory that he took his father's Code when Charles died. It served the duel purpose of not only making him immortal like CC but also making the world better by "sacrificing" himself for the greater good. I can't believe Lulu died because he always had a plan and usually his plan was more than what it seemed on the surface.

@docspencer that's exactly what i thought! his death made the ending so beautiful! i'm so sick of ppl saying they think he lived or want him to live. i love lelouch as much as the next person ESPECIALLY because of what he did in the end. it was sad and i cried but his sacrifice is wat made the ending so great. the best series i've ever seen is code geass. the depth was moving. some ppl just don't understand wat a great series needs. they'd only be content with "everyone lived happily ever after"

@berry9 did you watch the english dub or the jappanece one with subtitles because in the english version they changed the endding instead of looking at lelouch driving the carriage they showed you the origami crane.
