  • Hahaha "we were doing so well!"

  • You can always tell they're loving it, that's what music's all about. That's why they do it like noone else. That and sheer talent just balance out for em haha

  • I HATE TRAINS... don't be ridiculous Raj you love trains.. ok Yes I do

  • Gavin is an amazing drummer, but I don't like his musical choices in terms of his fills. There is something too technical about them.

  • Steve Wilson=God

  • It's a shame that today when people say rock, the word nickleback pops up in their minds when bands like porcupine tree, thrice and dream theater should be the ones who should get that credit! Shame on those people, Long live PT!

  • a crowd clapping perfectly in 6/8...only with porcupine tree

  • he's a mix between Kurt Cobain, John Lennon and Gilmour!

    HAIL Porcupine!

  • "We'll cut that bit out" ^^

  • where is the HQ?? haha

  • @adrok624 well, listen to it! =)

  • jakie to zajebiste!!! :D

    awesome!!!!!!!!!

  • Needs moar banjo...but it's still good.

  • good song but the live version's vocals doesn't fit I think

  • Even Sheldon Cooper likes trains.

  • Simply the best band in the world!

  • Porkupine Tree are anti-Semites. Steven Wilson is a confirmed Jew hater.

  • @MIKEPORTNOYING lol have you ever seen insurgentes documentyary 0.o. Portnoy fan must be... so stupid

  • @MIKEPORTNOYING You wrote Porcupine Tree wrong.

  • @MIKEPORTNOYING So what?

  • @MIKEPORTNOYING Why does he then half of time live in Jerusalem?

  • Perfection!

  • One word; goosebumps!

  • god like!

  • I don't get it, all of you love this band like they're jesus incarnate, and yet after listening to a few songs they sound very, very average. Go listen to Pink Floyd

  • @Mastashakezzz dafuq dude? both are awesome.

  • @Mastashakezzz What's the point of this comment? Relax and enjoy and if you don't like it leave it alone. :)

  • Where has this band been all my life? D:

  • This is absolutely bliss...

  • I was there that night.

  • @leproghead Lucky you.

  • ...I think I'm gonna cry...

  • I miss Mr. Maitland. It's like trading human for technology.. emotion for precision, atmosphere for skill... most importantly, rest for fill. The drums are exciting, yes! but they're missing something very important. Maitland had that in him.

  • The Awsomeness of Porcupine tree Live! <3 love yaaa!

  • I bet Sheldoon Cooper listens to this all day.

  • @etritb Haha, I wasn't aware that he had such a love for trains, since I don't watch the show much, but that's good to know. One more reason to like his character ^_^

  • what chord does Steve play at 00:52 - 00:53 , where he goes up on the fretboard?

  • @c3rwinvega F#m9 when capo is applied. Without capo it is an Em9 :)

  • The fact the string broke takes this even to a higher concept of perfection.

  • I just can't stop listening to this song, it's freakin' amazing.

  • The funny thing about this is that the entire point of the Babciz guitar design is that it is supposed to reduce the pressure on the strings SO THAT THEY DON'T BREAK!!!! Hahahahhah. And here it breaks in the middle of a recorded performance. Not very good advertisement for the brand.

  • @uuunderground Actually the whole point of the design is to get a better sound. Nothing to do with string breakage. Or perhaps they've just stopped pushing that as a selling point.

  • NOT FREEBIRD!

  • Gavin is the only drummer who plays so perfect you cannot hear a difference between live and record! That's amazing!!!

  • at his live show in baltimore someone screamed "freebird!" again before raider ii - it was hilarious

  • I love how that bit wasnt cut out

  • I own the dvd and in its entirety it is a masterpiece of art. Trains, a wonderful wrap up to a stunning show.

  • 3:56 polish invaded whole world

  • Wonderful band. Porcupine Tree is as moving force in Progressive Rock. Good video.

    Thank-you.

  • SHOVE THOSE 10 DISLIKES UP YOUR ASSHOLES, BITCHES!

  • Pompeux & ridicule tout simplement

  • Rail-way wai-HIIINNDS awwwwww!

    Fallen. In. Love.

  • 1:50 <3

  • that was beautiful 0nl1n3n00b... beautifully recorded all the way around... i've seen them once and i hope to get to see them again... thanks for the positive memories...

    U R AWESOME!!!

  • This is INCREDIBLE

  • freebird douchebags, thers always one

  • @HeroicBallbag

I thought the Freebird comment was fitting. You get to see a side of Steven Wilson that other artists are afraid to share with the world. It shows you that he is not afraid to interact with the crowd. He feeds off it's energy and in turn gives his soul.

  • i wish the guitar solo on the studio version sounded like this, this has more "umph" to it

  • @1896danr haha , "umph" , i've never seen anyone actually use that expression over the internet before =P

  • Awesomeness is awsome.

  • seriously.....who could dislike this awesomeness......i mean is just perfect......

  • I like trains.

  • @frederickbenny

    Die potato? :D

  • @Odinsgade

    nouuuuuu

  • They will always do so well.

  • viva el puto rock progresivoooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • Breaking the string in the middle of the song, like a bawce.

  • Comment removed

  • It's absolutely outrageous how good they sound live. And Steve Wilson's voice is truly haunting. Tacos.

  • Which venue was this?

  • putain ça dénonce !

  • My top prog bands: Karnivool, Tool, Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree.

  • @markisawesome2 no rush in there?

  • This song is the epitome of Porcupine Tree. So good!

If you like these guys, come check out our music on our channel page!

  • love prog just got into this band and they r amazing!

  • wow,. the audience love set me to tears,. i've gotta see em live!!!!

  • is that 6:00 "YEEEEA" the same guy who wanted free bird? ;)

  • @JackTheBeaver yes xD

  • @JackTheBeaver ABSOLUTELY. YEEEEEEAAA! XD

  • @JackTheBeaver hahahahahahahhahaha yes...i was!!!!!!ahahahahahhah

  • @JackTheBeaver hahahaha thanks for the good laugh! :D

  • Ce DVD est une merveille. Steven Wilson, qu'on le veuille ou non, est l'héritier de David Gilmour. :)

  • different key. :(

  • The acoustic guitar makes this song

  • His voice sounds better live. Only if the acoustic guitar sounded better live.

  • That is what we can call a song.

  • 0:19 ROFL

  • It's actually pretty cool how quickly the crowd adapt to clapping in 6/8 at the bridge.:)

  • who ever disliked this can suck it

  • Even the broken string was perfect

  • God damn.. thats what i call music!! Steven Wilson is a fucking genius!! Porcupine Tree fans, check out 'Blackfield' band, with Steven Wilson himself as singer and compositor. Enjoy!

  • This is the first crowd that is able to clap a 4/4 beat and automatically emphasize the 1 Oo

Porcupine Tree fans are the best!

  • @draperyfallsdrums That might be because it's 3/4

  • This is the kind of sound I used to wish Dave Matthews band could pull off. Why haven't I discovered these guys before?

  • @Duendito I say the same thing every day. No idea how I've missed out on PT after all these years so I have a lot of catching up which is ok by me. Easily, my favorite band.

  • The crowd has pretty decent rhythmic sense.

  • @arconada 'cuz people that listens to music that good are mostly intelligent people :P

  • A sixty ton angel falls to the earth! That's exactly what pictures my feelings about this splendid song.

  • wow the 1st video today where no commentator is bitching around^^

  • "Full 17 minute blow-out version" mmmm yum!

  • @rattlehumful

Wait... what are you referring to?

    ;-)

    Juuuuust kidding! :D

  • @anyal1987 I'm referring to exactly what's in your mind.

  • @rattlehumful

    Hah, excellent answer, friend. :D

    P-tree for life.

  • @anyal1987 Always.

  • free bird jajaja

  • The best band in the world.

  • sounds like Jethro Tull

  • So..freaking..nice... chills everywhere on 6:07

  • pink tree

  • If they ever do play Freebird, I will pay money to hear it.

  • God I love Porcupine tree.. britain is the place to be, if you're a rock & roll fan... couldn't go there for education, too many racist guys there...... still cheers from India.

  • how can you dislike this? i even tried to give a like because his guitar string cut. but i only have 16 youtube accounts :(

  • How does one stop listening to such a song?

  • Progressive rock is back. Thank you Porcupine Tree.

  • @GoodOldmusic70 What about Riverside?

  • @TrinnX I didn't know riverside. But i've listening now and i love it. It's another great band. Thank you for your comment, it's always awesome discover great bands

  • I'm surprised this got only 135,837 views. I though it would have at least gotten 1mil views. Well sad world. This concert/song is just amazing.

  • @carissaswierdd It's sad, if you search for a bieber crap video it has millions views, but when it was good music the number it's smaller.

  • @carissaswierdd Well apparently, it's gotten 50k views in 3 weeks. I'm surprised

  • one of my favourite :)

  • FREEBIRD!! >:O

  • pretty awesome

  • For my money, the best band in the world today easily.

  • Me fascina Steven Wilson!!!!

  • Would the asshole who keeps yelling please shut the fuck up?

  • Wow... Their best performance . Especially when the crowd started to clap along with the song. Steven's vocals are excellent, and John Wesley's as well :)

The honest mistakes are what make me love this band even more, if at all possible.

    Great job as usual, PT

  • best singer i never heard

  • To the dick that yelled Free Bird. You deserve to be punched in the face by every member of the audience. Twice.

  • @MGabriel7767 That was hilarious! he doesn't deserve punishment :P

  • @MGabriel7767 Don't have to take it so seriously.....

  • @MCAmaZ Sorry. It's in my blood. Dad and I are both musicians, and having someone yell Free Bird or Stairway at you while on stage is the most annoying thing lol.

  • @MGabriel7767 Well if you are Lynyrd Skynyrd or a tribute band it is. If you are totally unrelated to them. Its just a joke and really random.

  • anyone know what kind of Sonor kit Gavin uses?

  • @david30918 According to his website: SQ2 in USA (Golden Madrone finish) and SQ2 in Europe (Tribal finish).

  • @david30918 Something scary.

    Thats for sure.

  • @david30918 SONOR SQ2.

  • Y U NO PLAY FREEBIRD?

  • @Kevzen0 LOL

  • @Kevzen0 'coz that was the other day in a 17 minute version

  • @Kevzen0 - Because non-English speakers are very annoying to the English!

  • Freebird!!! lol

  • this band makes me so happy :)

  • Way to end a concert!

  • Great band

  • 6 people were born deaf

  • live performance = this.

  • Six dislikes? Whatever. God these guys are awesome.

  • Amazing perfonmance !

  • Every time i hear this song i dream...I feel in absentia.

  • What do you do if one snare breaks on your babicz guitar? You just grab the other one xD

  • As of 12.14.2011...6 people are deaf. 1,013 are not.

  • Heh, he handled the broken string perfectly. This is a band of consummate professionals. When I saw them perform in Cleveland their equipment arrived an hour late. They set up behind curtains in about 20 minutes, and without us ever hearing a peep, the curtain lifted and Stephen pounded out the opening chords to Occam's Razor, it sounded absolutely amazing. I'll never know how they got set up so fast and sounded so perfectly mixed.

  • 4:09 circusact?

  • Haha, I fuckin love Gavin's fill at 3:18!

  • What acoustic guitar is Steven playing here? It looks gorgeous.

  • @bluestripedtiger Babicz

  • six people wanted to hear free bird

  • Gavin's flow is unreal, both on the kit and on his head

  • The "Free Bird"shout was quaintly choice, for Steve to have fun with. The concert shout of yesteryear was "WHIPPIN POST!!". I remember Todd Rundgren once hearing it from the stage and saying "no...but my hair does kinda look like Gregg's, doesn't it?..." Steve Wilson, rock's Harry Potter...with all the music he must have in him...really gives me hope for the future of progressive\exploratory music..

  • lol it looks like some Lynyrd Skynyrd fan got lost

  • Grrrrr...one of the biggest regrets of my life...This is one of my all-time favorite bands, and they played Memphis one week after I packed up and moved to Montana...talk about bad fucking timing.

  • You know when you're at a PT show when you feel a godly atmos seeping out from Gav Har!
