Between 92 and 94, the big three networks jumped on the new jack swing bandwagon with Out All Night, Here and Now, Where I Live, Thea, George and Tall Hopes. NBC should've put this show in Cosby's timeslot instead of Saturdays.
i donot remember this im 31 and i really dont have a hard time remebering shows but this one around same time i can see as he was doing the cosby show this had to be 91 cause he still has the box
In the early to mid-90s, there were a lot of positive short-lived black sitcoms that never made ot past their first season.( Pehaps because many viewers have no understanding or appreciation for black culture).I'd take this any day over the degrading bafoonish reality crap flooding the airwaves. Unfortunately, there isn't an outlet for positve black entertainment.
@tincredible Yea exactly how i feel too!!!! Im 33yr old male and i have 1 son and he is 4 and the only thing im paying Direct TV $100 a month for is to watch cartoons with him b/c there is nothing but junk on TV... Shows like this had meaning unlike the mess out today!!
Yeah it awesome too as short lived as it was. The premise of the show was, a young brother while going to college, comes back to his neighborhood and works with inner-city youth part-time at a community center. Its a shame this show didn't last. I guess it had one too many uplifting values in it...
I don't remember this show at all either. Does anyone know how long did it last. I'm usually pretty good at remembering the 90s shows, but I do not remember this one.
Malcolm-Jamal Warner channels Jerome Benton from The Time at 4:44.
