  • Strange that the video states that ice coffee discs are not available with Tassimo: I have a package that specifically says Iced Coffee on it - bought in Oct. 2011 (I believe). Maybe this video was produced before it became available.

  • @7aloha7 Yep. We made this video long time ago. Please see our newest videos. We do talk about Iced Drinks with Tassimo.

  • I definitely like the taste of coffee made with the Tassimo brewer better than coffee made with the Keurig. Probably the fact that the Tassimo brews specifically based on the information from the barcode makes the difference.

However, I am astounded that Tassimo did not contact their registered users and tell them of the recall which does not involve the whole machine but the TDisc holder. I Tassimo has my information because I registered the brewer when I bought it.

  • I have tassimo and cuisinart single serve same as keurig, but I liked my tassimo more, coffee taste better and it can make capuccino and latte!

  • Guys, stop complaining that he has bias for the keurig machines.. When you say that tassimo is better, you're showing bias as well. -___-"

If you want more variety of coffees and has a good quality then buy tassimo. If you are a person that needs coffee every morning and fast, buy the keurig.

One has a stronger coffee , while one has a faster brewing

  • Someone got me a Keurig for christmas and I haven`t been back to Tim Hortons since, I find the coffee to be awsome, use it everyday. There is more than enough specialty drinks for me, and there always adding more, they also got a great website for ordering k-cups and machines.

  • You keep talking about how fast the Keurig is but there is one thing that you are failing to show. When you turn on the Keurig you have to wait 2-3 min before it is ready to brew. The Tassimo has fast heating elements which allows you to brew instantly without waiting. Secondly the big difference between the 2 systems is that the Tassimo makes much stronger coffee. The way the k-cups are made the water contact with the coffee grounds is minimal. If you like strong coffee get Tassimo

  • Be careful: all the Tassimo machines have been RECALLED on February 9, 2012.

  • @wildsprig Thank you for the comment. Yes Tassimo have recall for some Brewers and T-Discs. But not all Tassimo Brewers. Search for for TASSIMOSAFETYRECALL in google for more information.

  • This video is completely biased to the Kurig. If you want a cup of gourmet coffee or tea, that is brewed to a customized temperature best fit for that drink... Get the Tassimo. If you want a cheap, quickly made cup coffee or tea... Get the Kurig

  • what you mean you can't fit your mug just turn the tab to make it lower...

  • Tassimo FTW !!!

  • The Tassimo can add extra water for a larger cups of enjoyable teas, coffees and speciality coffees and milks by pressing the start button after the first fill is complete - READ YOUR INSTRUCTIONS

  • @hawkeyicockburn Thank you. We'll make new video with more information about this.

  • Please fire your cameraman. Or at least lock the zoom buttons in place with superglue before the next film.

  • @jonmulzer Fired and killed :). But he had reincarnation :). Check out our new videos.

  • You can get the Tassimo capsules in a lot more places. Also if you like really hot drinks forget it.

  • Relax, he's maintaining a nuetral standing as best he can, perhaps he does have bias but all in all he gives solid info, I was thinking of weather to get a friend a Kuerig or Tassimo, and due to the ability for selfmade brew with the Kcup, I think I'll go with that decision so they can have more flexibility, while doing that I can determine which I also prefer as my mother has a Tassimo that I can easily get access too.

  • @phantomkitsunezero Thank you. Great comment. FYI. Camera man fired and killed :). But he had reincarnation. Please check our new videos. You'll love 'em. We'll post new videos in HD soon. Stay tune.

  • im dizzy

  • At 10:28 the Keurig seems to be leaking water around the outside of the K-cup receptacle. Perhaps it cannot dispense the tea as fast as it recieves the hot water.

  • this video was biased never did they mention how the tassimo brews but they never showed any of the specialty drinks that its is really designed for. the only thing you mentioned multiple times was the speed and the clean up, if your going to do a professional review don't be biased and take the time to at least point out all of the different features

  • I love my tassimo t65

  • the zooming in and out made me sick next time you tards do a vid Please dont do that...some of us have virtigo and it makes us sick

  • @ThriftyWitch We'll make new video soon. Stay tune.

  • I have both tassimo beats my keurig by far the tassimo has better selection and it is alot more hot :)

  • Would you drink dishwater if it made it faster? I'd rather wait 30 more seconds if I could have a delicious latte.

  • @MZMNixon From Aromacup.com: "dishwater" is not proper comparison.

  • the ZOOMING in and out is EXTREMELY distracting.

  • This seems biased... I have a Tassimo and I can plug it in and it will very quickly start brewing, but the brewing takes a longer time as the water is heated as it passed through the machine. The Keurig on the other hand, from what I've heard, does drip the water out faster, but it also takes 3 minutes to start up... that's a long time IMO. Why couldn't you mention things like that and give a fair review and let people decide what they want, instead of subtly pushing one machine?

  • I have Tassimo & Keurig's "mini+" and have become intimate with each.

Keurig: I can choose different coffees/blends, but it's essentially "drip" coffee on a small scale. Nothing wrong with that, it's just good coffee 1 cup at a time with the added option of using my own blends for economy/taste.

Tassimo: Offers a more unique experience, with a better representation of "fine" brews from the coffee house like latte's, cappucino's and such.

Both serve their markets well, & I have use for both.

  • so much for easy clean up.....drip drip @ 10:30.....

  • tassimo ftw

  • About Twinings. If I noticed, Twinings of London tea is the only brand you can get on BOTH the Keurig and the Tassimo. I looked on their US website, though, and it seems they like Keurig better, as they have K Cups for sale, but so far, I have not found T Discs.

  • @jameygamer Here's only 2 T-Discs by Twinings available for Tassimo:

    - TWINING'S Earl Grey

    - TWINING'S English Breakfast Tea

  • @aromacup The only 2?

  • @aromacup only faggots and grandmas frink tea

  • @aromacup Keurig has the market on coffee and tea for its machines, I find that for ever 3 boxes of tassimo on the shelf there are 5 or 6 boxes of Keurig products on shelfs.

  • Tassimo FTW. Keurig just seems to add water to a cup. No temperature adjustment, no water adjustment and no pressure adjustment. Might as well just get the cup and add boiling water to it.

  • It seem that anyone who a good comment about keurig gets a thank you reply from aromacup but not the same for the pro tassimo comment ummmm!

  • @nerdheyhey Aromacup.com in love with Tassimo :). But we are unable to reply to all comments. Thank you for great comment thought :).

  • Tassimo is made in Germany by Bosch and owned by P&G USA . Keurig is owned by Green Mountain Coffee Roasters USA but the machines are made in China thus the lack of reliability.

  • I agree with FayneBouguyon the movement of the camera and your hands I found to be almost nauseating

  • You claim Keurig is faster yet you brew a cup that is twice the size on the tassimo?? We're not idiots man.

  • @imsoawesom Tassimo brewer slower because in need to adjust pressure, temperature and etc for specific beverage.

  • All groceries carry a bigger stock of tassimo coffees because they sell more and keurig is known for breaking down don't believe me check online forums

  • Very informative! thank you.

  • @paapercut Thank you!

  • What is a buddon? lol

  • im DEFINITELY goin with the Keurig!!!!!!;)

  • @HoTaNdSwEeT Why? Tassimo is the better coffee maker if you ask me. Keurig is just another ordinary coffee machine with cups.

  • @efadaei i just find it a faster brew than the Tassimo, kinda impatient when it comes to my morning coffee lol,ive looked into the Tassimo and the Keurig looks like it may be a better option for me :)

  • @HoTaNdSwEeT faster brew doesn't equal to a better brew though and I also would say that from powering up to first cup of coffee, Tassimo is faster. What you don't see in this video is the time it takes for Keurig to heat up the water after you fill the water resevoir. I would always go for quality and Bosch is a German made coffee maker while Keurig is made in China.

  • @efadaei hmmmm i did not know that!,i'll give it a test spin, maybe find a cheaper tassimo on ebay r somethin and do a comparison and test the differences!:)

  • The tassimo has more variety and is the only one that makes espresso the bar code changes bar pressure that makes a perfect espresso cappuccino & latte the keurig just passes water quickly through the k-cup witch makes it taste more like instant coffee and the tassimo is made by bosch enough said

  • TASSIMO WINS.

  • @JordanGauger :).

  • I love the wannabe Michael Bay camera movement

  • @MarkSmithMusic Thank you :).

  • I would like to have seen mention or demo of the "My K Cup" in the video as this is a major feature separating the two brewers. The Tassimo can do the milk based drink varieties while the Keurig can be used far more economically by making use of your own coffe blends. There are even "caps" which enable you to re-use the expended K-cups themselves.

  • @9282649 Great comment. Thank you.

  • @aromacup Keurig is awsome !!!!!!

  • @ubangiestomp Thank you for comment.

  • @9282649 The problem with Keurig, is that it uses the same temperature, same pressure and same amount of water for any and all varieties of coffee. While Tassimo adjust temperature, pressure, amount of water and the time it take to brew based on the bar code. Keurig is a great Instant coffee maker while Tassimo is a great coffee brewer that makes great coffees.

  • How does it taste? Everything I've read online says that the K-cups don't taste as good and come out luke warm and a little bit watery. The Tassimo also offers more brewing options for things like espresso, latte, and milk based drinks. The Keurig machine also seems to be made very poorly and breaks within a year, but the Keurig customer service is much better than the Tassimo customer service. There are more K-cup varieties, but the machine brews every type of drink exactly the same way.

  • @cool8man It's really hard to say who is better. Both of them have + and -. Let me answer your question thought. Keurig brew faster (as result more watery) but you can make you own coffee using Ekobrew or other filters. Tassimo brew longer so that why coffee more bold but like you said less variety. You can watch our videos and it will give you more information and hopefully help you to make decision.

  • @aromacup It just depends if you want to have your coffee made right. If you care about the time and don't really care about quality, pick Keurig. If you want a coffee done right with quality brewing, pick Tassimo

  • @efadaei Great comment. I would disagree about Coffee quality with Keurig. But in general keep in ming that both of them are different. For example:

    1. With Keurig you can make your own coffee (by using Reusable coffee filters) with Tassimo you can't.

    2. Tassimo will allow you to make wide varieties of Beverages (latte, cappuccino and etc.). Keurig Don't.

    .....

  • it doesn't take longer because it has to "read the barcode" or "figure out" the amount of water to put in. it is because of a different heating element.

  • @LucrativeFuture Great point. Thank you.

  • @LucrativeFuture + pressure, temperature, time :)

  • @LucrativeFuture and it sux,

  • Soooo, I need help understanding something here. You can make a small cup of coffee, and that kcup is used up and needs to be tossed. Or you can make a big cup of coffee, and that kcup is used up and needs to be tossed. Whats to stop someone from making two small cups from the same kcup? 2 small cups of coffee are essentially 1 big cup of coffee.

  • @Karnalsyn If you brew same K-Cup twice it will affect taste. Keurig have "Extra Bold" K-Cups which have 20% more coffee inside or make your own coffee using reusable filters.

  • Nice-sized mug.

  • This guy

  • where I can buy the coffee and a latte for the Tassimo machine I also like the coffee organizer?

  • @shkoder123 You can buy online or local grocery store. If you click on link (tassimodirect) it will take you to the store. Don't forget to use coupons.

  • Sorry, another comment this whole video seems a little biased towards the keurig, and never points out the fact you can't empty the reservoir, or that different drink sizes with the same amount of grinds would be too weak/strong Also, faster brew=weaker and less flavor. Finally, you seem to like pointing out that Tassimo can't make iced drinks, but never mention that the Keurig can't make lattes... let alone uses powdered milk.

  • @TheNdoki Thanks for comment. I'm sorry to hear that you got this impression. We try to be totally neutral. Main point for this video to compare both of them.

    Enjoy your coffee,

    Aromacup.com

  • Wait, selectable cup sizes but a set amount of coffee grounds? That doesn't sound right... last I used my regular coffee maker I had to measure the coffee grounds based on how much water I put it in... huh...

  • @TheNdoki Yes. K-Cups and T-Discs comes with different amount of coffee inside of them. With Keurig you will be able to choose water amount with Tassimo it will do it for you.

  • nest iced beverage iv made is the mastro lorenza with milk and sugar over ice.

  • @delorber Sounds delicious :) Thank you!

  • The keruig is good, but the my - kcup makes a weak cup of coffee that I dont like. It takes longer to brew for the tassimo, I think that is better because it makes a more flavourful cup of coffee. I am going to buy a tassimo today. Kcups have increased in price (60 to 70 cents each). Meanwhile t disks are 30-40 cents each. (Not for a latte but when you go to starbucks you spend $5 bucks anyways.) I am going to post a video of the tassimo and keurig brewing soon....

  • @MrReviewer1234 Great. Thanks!

  • I know it was mentioned later on by the video poster...but a huge point of comparison of these two machines is that the Keurig machine offers a brewing cup in which you can put any of your own ground coffee into it...HUGE savings and creates A LOT more choices for the Keurig over the Tassimo. I own them both, but would promote the Keurig over the Tassimo any day to anyone. On that note, you wont be disappointed with either machine. (unless you're frugal like me and drink tones of coffee lol)

  • @coldwellcreed Yeap with EkoBrew and Solofill Cup you can save a lot of money with Keurig. I hope Tassimo will learn from them.

  • @aromacup I was actually wondering if you could "hack" a tassimo cup with coffee grounds, but we actually already have a regular coffee machine for the missus (she drinks a LOT) and I'm getting a tassimo for chirstmas as I don't drink as much as her, and prefer variety. Good points though.

  • @TheNdoki Thanks!

  • @coldwellcreed The problem with that is the fact select coffees should be brewed at certain temperature range. Might as well just use an ordinary coffee machine.

  • Wow, the info is good but the zooming in and out makes me motion sick!

  • you cant make a good drink in that amount of time, don't buy this piece of crap

  • I think Keurig is better ... but thats just my opinion

  • @AnimalFreak43 Why? Did you try both or did you only try Keurig. I tried both and Tassimo is 100 times better when it comes to making quality coffee.

  • I have a tassimo and it works great for iced coffee you just cant use espresso, its too little and you don't water it down alot with reg coffee.

  • The presenter appears to have St. Vitus Dance or some other nervous affliction. He simply can't hold his hands still, especially when showing one of the K-cups or T-discs. Viewers don't need to see his goddamn shaky, jerky hands when viewing the video. That's very distracting. Also, he didn't need to narrate every single movement. Just put the containers under the brewers without explaining that's what you're doing! The cameraman could learn the virtue of stillness as well.

  • @BarefootSerpent Thanks :). After 5-6 cups of coffees (coffee overdose) hands do shakes and dance :).

  • does b30 require filters if i have an at home water filter

  • @MegaRockstar56 Keurig Mini don't use any filters since it don't have water tank. So yes use filtered water if possible.

  • why the fuck wont the camera stay still

  • Also, I don't believe it's particularly fair to compare these two machines, I have both because in my eyes tassimo - cappucinos, lattes, milk based drinks, and the keurig - the perfect cup of coffee when you're not in the mood for a heavy creamy drink. It simply makes a wonderful cup of joe!I'll probably use the keurig more, and the tassimo for yummy yummy treats. =) Also. now-a-days I believe the keurig is actually more expensive for their k-cups. Around here anyway?

  • I have the tassimo. With it, the woman sent alot of t-discs, but i think they might have been expired. The coffee seems verrrrry bitter. I also just purchased a keurig, because my friend had one and the coffee to me was amazing! Maybe Gevalia ( spelling? ) is just too strong? Or the expiration date REALLY matters. I love coffee, but I'm not a suuuuuper intense lover, I like a light, nutty flavored coffee. I will eventually buy new t-discs.

  • I own both love them

  • @katmontini Great. Thank you. Tassimo and Keurig are different and make different beverages differently :).

  • Don't buy Keuring machine! I had 2 and after a bit the stop putting out a full cup of coffee(even with filtered water and cleaning) I've also think the quality of the coffee for k-cups have really gone down!!

  • We were wanting to buy a Keurig, but then we heard about the Tassimo. Then we watched this video and the Tassimo is out of the running now. Way too slow and no iced coffee pods. The only reason I want a single serve machine is for iced coffee and hot chocolate.

  • @y2kbug77 Yes I agree for Iced drinks Keurig would be better choice :). TIP: Use Coffee Iced Cubes to make Great Iced Coffee.

  • Can either of these run WITHOUT the water filters? I always filter my own water with a Brita pitcher.

  • @starlionblue Yes as long you use filtered water. It will help your brewer to last longer.

  • The video itself was very informative. However, the movement of the camera going back & forth and the hand moving the cups & disks up & down was very distracting.

  • lol ya Tassimo is so slow I could drive to starbuck and back in that time LOL put a little coffee in your milk

  • You know what's even better than coffee, brother?

    CoCAINE!

  • I bought the Tassimo and i freakin love the Latte!!! <3

  • @germanborat Glad you like it! Most of Coffee Brands for Tassimo is from Europe

  • @germanborat Tassimo= shit and slow

  • @aromacup, just want to point out that even though the K-Cups are all the same size, they do not have the same amount of coffee or tea. Each variety can feature different amounts, by weight, of coffee. The Newman's Own Extra Bold Organic has more coffee in each K-cup than do some of the other brands. It is possible to tell which have more or less coffee, and thus stronger or weaker resulting brews, by checking the number of ounces per K-Cup on the packaging. It's very small print, btw. Thanks!

  • God damn, the coffe of the first video seems awfull in both, absolutely no crema at all, like rushing a drip machine. Btw, does the keurig has option to make milk based drinks? 'cause if not, it is gg , tassimo wins, next tassimo vs dolcegusto plox :P

  • While Tassimo doesn't have iced tea, they do have iced coffee thats been around for awhile, they have a black version and a version with a creamer disc. also one thing to point out about the time, the time it takes the Tassimo is the same weather you just turned it on or its been on all day, but my experience with the Keurig is that while once its warmed up its fast, it takes it a while to get going when you turn it on. Overall I decided on the Tassimo and haven't regretted my decision.

  • @kitty13131 Great Comment. Thank you.

  • Great video and very informative....thanks

  • @jkro123 Thank you. Is was a lot of fun to make this video :).

  • @aromacup You mention that the T-Discs are a bit more expensive than the K-Cups. I have to say I'm a bit frustrated because I always find that the K-Cups are much much more expensive than the T-Discs. Did the prices change since you made this video or is that just a mistake. Eg. 16 T DISCs of TWININGS® Earl Grey Tea for a suggested RSP of $6.99 vs K-Cup Box (25) $16.49

Make a bit of research on that and let me know your thoughts. Thanks for the video.

  • @patrick355 You made great point. Yes this year price on K-Cups has been increased twice already and now they are almost the same arount 50-60 c. But here's something to think about. With Keurig Brewer you can make you own coffee without K-Cups (huge saving). This option not available for Tassimo. Also keep in mind if you're making Cappuchino or Latte with Tassimo you will use 2 T-Discs (Espresso + Milk) so this will add in price. Hope this helps.

  • @patrick355 Great Comment. Thank you.

  • it was hard to focus on the video. your camera work fucking sucks. please attempt to fix this in the future, it makes a better impression of your channel if this is the first video they are watching

  • @lonnietheaverageguy Thank for the tip :). At least you like the video in general.

  • Personally, I found that the Tassimo had the better tasting coffee overall. I like a nice, strong brew and the Keurig was a bit too watered down for me even with the small brew setting. The Tassimo allows you to stop brewing, mid brew, to make it that much stronger if desired. You can also add more water at the end of the brew for a weaker tasting coffee. Another great thing about the Tassimo is that it has a variety of specialty drinks, that the Keurig does not offer.

  • Comment removed

  • I love my T45, but I'm considering making the switch now that Starbucks axed Kraft :( Not sure whether the Starbucks K-cup is a for sure thing though.

  • my family got 2 kurigs for $35 each and they are amazing

  • Keurig seems more popular however. Do you think Tassimo will loss the popularity and be discontinued later on?

  • @nattga I don't think so. Single Serve Coffee market is huge and everybody can find a niche. Tassimo for example will allow you to make a lot of different beverages like Mocha, Latte and etc., with one touch. This is great feature I think and that why it called a Tassimo Brewbot :). In addition it do make great coffee and tea. Main problem with the Tassimo is limited variety of drinks. Hope they will add more varieties in the future.

  • Keurig final product seems watery. How does it compare to Tassimo in taste comparison?

  • @nattga Both Keurig and Tassimo brewers are great machines. But here's a difference. Tassimo is BrewBot so you don't have any control over process. You can't change water amount while you brew. So Tassimo experts will test coffee/water amount for you and you will get nice cup of Joe. With Keurig you have full control. If it too weak for example you brew 6oz instead of 8oz. In addition with Keurig you can brew your own coffee.

  • I wish that you guys could do a follow up to find out which machine performs better after a year of use. The Keurig started out great for me but I am tired of replacing the thing due to quality problems. I find that it is not good for the environment since the company chooses to replace the unit rather than fix it. The Tassimo looks impressive but appears to be an overkill. I am seriously considering bring back my old traditional brewer.

  • @hondo1971 @hondo1971 I agree with you. Any mechanical device (including brewers) can be improved. I personally used all of them for couple years and they did just fine. But I don't use them very often since I have 10 different brewers, French Press, Moka pot and etc. I just love different coffee flavors using different brew methods.

  • @hondo1971 I second the notion. I'm also wondering about how each one fairs after a years use. This is why I have been very hesitant to buy one.
