I do actually enjoy some of MGMTs original tracks. I can't remember who it was but a band made a rock version of a dance track a while back, and all the rock kids thought it was amazing. It was shite. But I didn't make it my mission to slate it all over youtube. I appreciated it for what it was. A FUCKING REMIX!!!! If you don't like the band who did the remix to begin with, your probably not going to enjoy their interpretation of your favourite band.

Hilarious. MGMT has been around for six years, and they're famous because there's a number of people out there(myself included) that like their music. There's no arguing that people haven't jumped on the hipster bandwagon, but the hipster bandwagon has nothing to do with MGMT. MGMT is far too mainstream for a hipster to actually consider it good, hence why there are tons of remixes, covers, etc., of their songs.

Music is music, and different genres attract different people.
