  • I feel like this arrangement didn't have enough lower tones. there was just something missing from the foundation of the sound, which made it sound a little bright and top heavy. But overall its a beautiful song :)

  • I don't understand how this performance got them eliminated with this song! I found nothing wrong with this performance

  • @carlotta4th We actually didn't have this previously prepared! This much I can say is true! We didn't pick out the dresses and I must say.. the girls in this group are a fit bunch. We get a good laugh from the fupa comments, especially because we said it before you did! haha :) But anyway - we're here to listen.. and thanks to everyone for watching and listening! Help keep "The Sing-Off" on the air and support it by purchasing our Holiday Album out in stores. Visit my channel! jessiecarvo

  • Looouuuuuu!!!!! This is Julian. Its awesome to see you guys on tv! I used to go to UD and had friends in the Deltones, so I got to go to your awesome concerts. Really cool you guys made it as far as you did, amazing job.

  • antonette is here watching sing off...is she?

  • @marck2210 Kinfolk 9 was eliminated. After Sonos were eliminated, they would sit in the audience, too.

  • Either all the girls are fat or they bought some bad dresses

  • how did this get them eliminated......

  • i dont know why everyone thought that was bad, i thought it was absolutely amazing!

  • I loved the arrangement, but I was sooo wanting to hear someone like Amy from Delilah to have that lead... I agree that Courtney's voice was just too soft, but the harmony was so beautiful, it left me frustrated.

  • Beautiful harmony..just felt it may have a missed a lil something...but the lead girl has a very nice voice.

  • BEAUTIFUL harmonies, but nothing really there besides that :/ no dynamics or anything

  • Don't get me wrong I think they rocked it, but I think what has made them soar before was having an emotional attachment to the song (Feels Like Home) and I don't think they had it with this song and it cost them. I'll miss them they were in my top 4 :(. Why is the Collective still here?

  • i liked it.....

  • @Rbxim The Collective's lead singer is garbage. She can't sing nor dance. Afro Blue is better than them but not better than the Deltones nor North Shore.

  • @ 3:50 the look of pure jealousy bet she want's to sing a solo next week #hater

  • i personally loved this!!! they hadnt really impressed me the weeks prior but i for sure thought they would be safe with this.. wow

  • Why is this a guilty pleasure???

  • @lufflyness It's a guilty pleasure because they already had this song prepared previously. I don't mind that, of course (it's perfectly fine to use songs they already know). But the main problem for them was that their rendition wasn't much different from the radio version that we've all heard a million times... so it was a bit boring.

  • How did they go home with this performance? I wasn't in love with them through most of the show but this song was the second best performance during the night, sorry Pentatonix is insanely awesome so... but anyway theres no way that they deserved to go home while Afro Blue and the Collective still perform, both of them should have been eliminated.

  • @Haeinscute Sorry? Afro Blue eliminated with their very good performance?! And The Collective with I will survive??!! Hello wake up!!

  • @Haeinscute You have no musical credibility if you think Afro-Blue should be eliminated at all.

  • @killamusiq It's a competition, they'll be eliminated one way or another, theres no way they can beat out Pentatonix. I just think North Shore and Deltones have performed better than Afro Blue and The Collective, it's a personal opinion. If you said you like Bruno Mars and I said, no I'm not a fan of him, that doesn't mean I have no "musical credibility" it means I have different taste in music than you. I don't see the anything that great in Afro Blue

  • @Haeinscute I'm talking from a musician's perspective. In this field, no one's arrangements are as sophisticated as Afro-Blue's...not even close. Everything about them is head and shoulders above the rest: the musical IQ, the choreography, the individual vocal quality of its members. I understand what you're saying about musical taste, but there are some things, musically, that aren't up for debate. Prince vs. Trey Songz can be a matter of taste, but the fact of who's better is non-debatable.

  • they sound a stiff, less dynamic version of backbeats.

  • LOVE when Courtney takes lead! Her voice is AMAZING!!

  • This is one of those groups that has not impressed me since their first performance. Love the song, but I didn't like this arrangement. I was ready for them to go home last week, and it was no different this week.

  • Across all their performances, The Deltones never gave the lead to anyone other than Cortney or Jessica. That's unfortunate, as they has plenty of other faces who had their moments here.

Even when they're firing on all cylinders, their arrangements don't come across as particularly powerful (especially "(Edge Of) Glory")--as Shawn implied, their sound is all soft and fuzzy. (Comfy, perhaps.) That makes it tough when you're up against some of these other groups.
