Guys there is no need for electric reels i have never used one and never will i prefer standing up and pulling a big grouper off the bottom in 200ft of water at least you can feel an accomplishment of catching a fish yourself instead of pressing a button and watching the reel do the work for you.

how deep were you fishing? 400 ft? ive done 350 no problem. there was a perfectly good TLD 2 speed in the background, i guess it would be "too much work for you".

@tweekedmk1 seems a bunch of non deep wreck fisherman are responding to this thread. This is used by professional deep wreck sportsmen who are in the know of what this sport requires. Let me see you reel in cod from or Halibut etc 300 feet down on a 16 hour wreck trip. You would be running to the store to get the proper gear next time as you would be out fished 16 :1

@z0mbie93 your fucking stupid. its imossible to haul up a fish that nig from that deep. it would take u several hours just to reel up a small fish and once u get on a grouper or a sword the only way ur gonna get it up is by using the electric reel. do ur research before u post stupid fucking comments
