  • yeah, this is totally where the Crue got it from. Funny how much there is to learn. I actually have a Sweet's greatest hits albums that I love. This one ain't on there. I didn't realize the Crue "borrowed" this riff until I read the wiki entry for Kickstart....ya learn something new every day, huh?

  • I almost expected him to start yelling "When I get high I get high on speed" lol :P

  • oh yes punks take glam seriously....the music at least...joey ramone named sladde as one of his biggest influences, and sid vicious named sweet...say no more.

  • If that's true it's too bad that motley crue didn't learn even a little bit from the Sweet LOL.Sweet rules.

  • great song great band gorgeoussssssssssssss lead singer taken far to soon r i p brian and mick forever young xx

  • Probably my all time favourite Sweet song.

  • wish i could go back to the 70s sweet were all brilliant and very under estimated brian was so georgeous bet vival sasoon wanted his hair x

  • Brian - probably at his most sexy and beautiful in this video.

  • @dodel yeah you' re damn right the sweet is motley crue's biggest influence that' s obvious !!!

  • Reading these comments, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought MC's Kick Start My Heart sounded familiar as soon as I heard it. Thanks!

  • Gay??? These guys got more tang than the astronauts!

  • The Sweet influenced many many rock bands that followed

they are legends I would love to see a movie done of them

what a story to be told. They were together for many years

more than alot of other bands.

  • For me they were the only british band that had that vocal sound so often perfected by american bands - powerful high pitched vocals that somehow work in rock tracks. Was it Steve Priest who had the rediculously high voice? What a totally brilliant band - so glad I was around in the 70's to enjoy it!!

  • kicks ass hahahh

  • I was into punk but come on Brains voice was the best rock voice ever. Some punk bands were influenced by the Sweet. I know Sid Vicious and Billy Idol have said they were an influence, Just look at Brains stance and moves in this video I can see alot of Billy Idol 8os stance and moves there. God even Freddie Mercury said he was a fan. The Sweet were the best Glam band and one of the best rock band of the 70s, T Rex was cool too.

  • kickstart my heart

  • This was one of the first singles I bought, great song. Although I was more into punk bands I loved the glam rock bit too. Bands like T Rex, Mud, Slade were fuckin' brill and I suppose like most punk bands didn't take themselves too seriously. In saying that they could certainly rattle out good tunes. When you listen to stuff like this and then the X factor dross that we are getting served up it makes you realise how music in the UK has gone to the dogs.

  • The Crüe's "Kickstart my Heart" is a bit samey, no?

  • @dodel1 I was thinking the same ;p

  • @dodel1 Nikki Sixx loves these guy and yeh he did kinda copy the riff and drums =P

  • @dodel1 Possibly a little but then the Crue's song was recorded 14 or 15 years after the Sweet song.

  • @fackorf so if anything, they borrowed it from these guys

  • @dodel1 Indeed yes the Crue were for sure influenced by Sweet.

  • @fackorf ya, but Crue was in their teens, checking out tunes like this one. By the time Crue hit the limelight in 81', when I first seen them ...

  • @dodel1 indeed! The Sweet wrote a song about them in the 90's called "Crudely Mott". :)

  • the bass player has the best wizard cloak ever! the Sweet knew how to rock and how to look awesome!

  • Flyboyofglam....is talking in a language I don't understand

  • great vid!! surely performed on the worlds smallest stage lol

  • Ahhh. audience's were so much more interested in checking themselves out on the tv monitor's. For example that fat ginger kid sat below Brian lol.

Great performance of my favourite Sweet number.

  • Fuckin' great band. This song started my love affair with Rock Music!!

  • "She's like a live bombshell, like a flash out of hell and when she's shaking her... Oooh! Everyone fell at her feet and that's neat and she took me completely by surprise with her ultrasonic eyes. They were flashing like hysterical danger sign that said: 'Beware where you tread or you'll go out of your head!'"

  • brian was one hell of a sexy man. and by the way, they weren't gay.

  • @cplegogame25 he was sexy indeed he was

  • @cplegogame25 who cares if they were or not - they made killer songs nonetheless.

  • Fuck yourself...

  • @Dudelikes223 You are..

  • kinda a bad lypsinc

  • @yaoilover126

lipsync. lol i dont think lips r spelled lyps now are they :P

  • Once again, great outfits! I love Steve's cape! This is another great song, then again Sweet had so many it's not surprising this one is right up there with the best. The guy in the background behind Steve really gets into the song. It's actually kinda funny.
