The reason I do not believe in astrology is because I know several sets of twins and they were born minutes of each other but are completely different.
@kuwaimaha - they have specific energies that alter things like biochemistry depending on where they are in relation to where you are, it's the same as how metal salts in plants are affected by the cosmic timepiece, and how the lunar phases and locations also affect biology (people being composed mainly of mineralised water, just like the sea).
the matrix in real-life is the time-cycle repeats of astrology. it's not a program exactly, but it repeats in terms of energy configs and influences.
@kuwaimaha - in terms of future predictions, it works like the I Ching does, it's about patterns.
so you'd have your energetic blueprint - and if you want to know how a certain day will be for you, you get the chart for that day & location, and you have to compare the aspects in each chart to one another. it's just tendencies. it's like knowing the sea when you go sailing or knowing the air when you go flying - there's types of energies and ways to deal with them.
Personality differences in same sign ascendants are indicated more by the decanates, dwads and accidental dignity that apply to the ascendant and its ruler. Also, even with same day birth and sign ascendants, the planets can be found in different houses. Methods for use with actual birth twins are a bit more complicated.
That's all very well, but it doesn't explain why a person that I know, who was born on the same day (and year) as I AND has the same ascendant, seems to be very from me. It's a fact.
@hivernales - houses make a big difference. the 12-house system is based on the same reasoning behind acupunctures time-cycles for different areas of the body, and we know acupuncture works too. oh and so does aryuvedic, and their astrology is extremely detailed also.

@hivernales - also the moon moves quite fast, so sometimes same-day same-location births differ a lot cause of that too.
the birth blueprint is then also altered by environment (upbringing etc), and your souls history.
