Kocur got schooled, which is pretty much happened whenever he faced a top 10 heavy in his career. I always loved Joey until I got my copy of the Probert/Kocur bruise brother tape back in the day. Sure, Kucur wins 99% of the fights presented, while Bob wins maybe 80%, but after a while you realize that Bob was fighting the toughest guy on the team whilst Joey was pretty much bottom feeding.
Good grief, who thought this wasn't a fight? If you see a good quality of this video (and it is out there), you will see Kocur's face looks like an overripe melon afterwards. Richter beat the snot out of him, plain and simple.

He also had a great fight with Steve Dykstra that's worth the price of admission! From 81-82 thru 86-87, he didn't lose a fight. Time Hunter was the first to beat him Jan 30th 1988.

About 3 or 4 years later, Richter was playing for the Blues and they had a game at Joe Louis Arena one night and Kocur challenged Richter repeatedly and Richter wanted no part of Joey. In fact Richter had become a candidate for the Lady Byng Award by that time. Like a completely different guy than when he played for Minnesota and Philly.

Richter didn't win this "fight". There was no fight. It was a twirl to the ground and a couple sucker punches once Kocur was down. This is lame.
