I was like 4 years old the first time I saw Hogan I remember being pissed off when my dad told me that hulk wasn't really immortal like the guys in highlander and wrestling was fake, I was 5 then screwed up ever since

Its not fake , its scripted but they get hurt and its a serious situation in the ring

@colotron People get hurt filming movies too (ask Sly Stallone), but nobody calls those real.

Wrestling is fake. Is it hard to do? Yes. Does it require lots of training & conditioning? Yes. Can it be highly entertaining? When done right, yes. But at the end of the day, its a performance art like a movie, play, or TV show. Its fake.

Yeah, but something just still seems odd about people calling wrestling fake. Sure, it's scripted acting so it's not "real". But soap operas are a scripted form of entertainment too, and I've never heard of anybody looking at a soap opera on TV and saying "awwww, that shit's fake".
