  • IM thinking about building a computer when i get my tax check, i was wondering if any solder is required in putting the parts together. Or i could just pay my friend to put it together for me xD

  • @PurpleTheWizard no soldering, everything just fits into place.

  • OMG. whered u get that badge from?

  • @ch1ck3n1nj4 directron,com i think. it was on sale for $1 haha

  • lol we have the same motherboards

  • @mrgeo20 are you high? outperforms your friends i5... is it underclocked? I have a 2500k @ stock speeds and in every game ive played it destroys my friends 8120 @4.4ghz running the same gpu's.

  • @TheGuyAnonymous it's an i5 in a qosmio. it runs super hot at stock speeds. :p so what if I am high? are you 11? lol

  • I don't see the need for the extra exhaust fan...It is a nice little system, but you don't need an extra fan...

  • @MrDemonman7 there is no need, I just put it in there because I could.

  • @mrgeo20 Like a bawse

  • Is that a huge case or just a small motherboard? It seems like you have a load of space left in there.

  • @wakeup685 micro-atx mobo

  • @mrgeo20 actually thats a standard ATX board. Micro is two pci slots and XL-ATX is 7+

  • @devencoffey dude, I bought it and built it. its a micro-atx mobo. lol.

  • The cooler you got on the PCI slots is stealing the air from the Graphics Card...

You would better locate it at the top of the graphiscs if you can turn it with the hole down, i mean, unscrew it fron the PCI metal-plate and putting it sucking the air from the top of the graphics...

  • @oczExtreme tried that first, it wont fit because of the heat sinks on the mobo. Its not really stealing air, the 6850 has plenty of room to breathe compared to if it was in crossfire or something. The temps aren't abnormal so I'll leave it the way it is. :p

  • @mrgeo20 Is there a better case that won't cost so much?

  • @UIsTall dude the case was dirt cheap, its only $99. there's no such thing as a better case for less than that.

  • Can you still get a build like this for around $500? I've been looking to build a PC for around $800 (OS and Monitor costs included) later this year.

  • I build a similar pc on one website with almost identical parts to this and it ended up costing 821€ :(

  • I love how budget PCs sill kick ass. Go PC gaming :)

  • @vaughnscheunemann for sure! :D

  • SONGG!!!!!!

  • Woah Awesome im gunna do enginering now!

  • @MrAznboii11 this is in no way related to engineering, lol.

  • Why would you buy a DVD drive? they're obsolete, just download everything.

  • @KalashCL To install software? Perhaps internet drivers, bios drivers, an operating system?

  • @ElementArts yah, installing the ethernet driver would've been a bitch with no disc drive and no internet! xD

  • @ElementArts you can do that by USB, dvd is obsolete, i dont have one in my pc and here i am.

  • @KalashCL yeah but it's just a hassle :p it's easier to buy a $17 dvd drive and it gives you more options down the road.

  • @KalashCL Indeed, installing games perhaps?

  • @mrgeo20 where did you buy the parts for the pc

  • @Calliass44 NewEgg

  • with the help of youtube even kids can now build a pc

  • @EvendimataE and, that's a good thing, right?

    right?

  • @kunstderfugue im not sure where he was going with that comment either, lmao.

  • the maker of this video is easily offended lol

  • @JOJOPOTATOE77 people who comment are extremely rude :p

  • Nothing Budget about that, I built a PC with Core i3, 4gb ram, 560 gtx, and the rest for $400, and It seems like it runs better than yours

  • Yeah man, that's not a budget build completely, you should have done a cheaper case. I purchased a cheap gaming rig from new egg for my friend for his birthday, it was only about 530$ before mail-in-rebates, 39.99 case, raidmax hurricane.

  • @BronzeApples No. It's definitely a budget build. I bought quality parts, not shitty stuff. That's why. I could've gone way cheaper, but nobody in their right mind would buy a DiabloTek case and power supply, lmao. My computer can outperform your pre-built all day, and mine isn't in a shitty case...

  • @mrgeo20 It's not a budget build COMPLETELY. Your case is good because it has USB 3 on it, congrats, however my PC isn't budget build and you wouldn't out preform it, Radeon 7970 and i5 2500k overclocked at 4.5ghz (air) 16gb ram. I made a pre-built wishlist, everything the same as yours; however, it has a silverstone powersupply, HIS IceQ x 6850 which is way better than a sapphire. With a 100 dollar case you might as well spend 30 more and get an NZXT phantom, better to spend 40 dollars.

  • @BronzeApples there is zero chance that a 7970 and an i5 cost $530 lmao

  • @mrgeo20 That's why I said.... however my PC ISN'T budget build

  • "AMD processor" and "Gaming" are two words that don't belong in the same sentence.

  • I built my first PC recently, with almost exactly the same specs, but it didn't take me that long, nor did I need anyone.... took me around 2hrs, but the Hard drive died on me when it started, got it replaced the next day and now it's up and running... and gaming to the max... bought it mainly for Mass Effect 3 of all games, might not be the most GPU demanding game, but I want to play it on max setting.... and also be able to play most games on high settings like BF3, Skyrim, Crysis 1/2 etc

  • if u ask me u payed way to much for the case thats a coolermaster CM 690

    they cost around 100$

also i dont se you running this game in 1080P with HBAO and AA x16

BF3 on ultra doesnt mean shit if u dont have the other settings on...

  • @klote2314 That is a Corsair 400R and I paid $99 for it, lmao. wut.

  • @klote2314 what you talking dude?

  • lol @engineering class, i can make this rig with my eyes closed

  • @ThePunjabhe you're cool....

I had never built a pc before so I brought it in to build it with my friends to make it more fun and make the whole process go along a lot smoother and faster. dick.

  • @mrgeo20 all the fun is in overclocking and liquid cooling

  • @ThePunjabhe Your just a fucking prick soo shut your fucking mouth.......

  • Cable Management.

  • looks like a nice pc for the money.

A few upgrades u may consider is a ssd and a better cpu heat sink.

Those stock amd coolers get pretty loud.

  • @Runetone There's no chance I'll be getting an SSD anytime soon, until the fourth quarter of this year when harddrive prices go back down to normal, they will continue to get more and more expensive because of the flooding in Taiwan. :/ I'm considering a different cooler, but this one is doing fine and the temps are low.

  • @mrgeo20 thats funny here in Denmark. where i live, conventional Hard drives sky rocket in price because of the Taiwan thing, u know. But the ssd´s stay the same. to the point where

    a. 1 tb drive cost more then a 120gb ssd

so i got one and it will blow u away. when your use to the olde Drives :)

  • @mrgeo20 not to spam u. but i get that its a budget build. and something like the cpu heat sink. when i works fine like the stock do. u don't need a new one.

i got a new pc last year budget build to.

P67 I5 2500k i ran the stock heat sink. and the temps where high when i gamed to the point where i burned my mother board. luckily my local shop is the boss and they swopped it to a new one and i got a better heat sink.

  • @Runetone Strange, I overclocked my i7-2600K to 4.4GHz using the Asus tools and temps never go over 65° C...

  • @rooo1o i had bad air flow in my case and stock heat sink. it was running temps around 60 on longer gaming sessions at stock 3.3 Ghz. And one day it just fried something on my motherboard. maybe a faulty board. but most likely my own fault :)

  • @Runetone 60 degrees under load is exceptional, if it fried it was because of faulty components, not the temps.

  • @mrgeo20 yes the cpu auto shots down at 85 so burning a motherboard at 60 seems a little off. but i got a new board the same day so i cant complain to much :)

  • @mrgeo20 Flooding in Taiwan only affects the prices on HDD's not SSD's :p

  • @mrgeo20 SSDs didn't go up in price, only HDDs did. Which is why an SSD is actually an excellent option right now, since the price-difference per GB is not that large anymore.

  • Why would you get a big case for a small motherboard?

  • @ProtestHeroicX9000 combo deal, room for upgrades and cable management, really cheap, extremely high quality case, good looking, etc.

  • Oh, powered by AMD FAILdozer hmmm

  • @ItalyNerf It can run BF3 and DiRT3 on Ultra, it's only $100, it's unlocked, it performs like a champ, easy to OC, outperforms my friends i5, I'm not complaining.

  • @mrgeo20 Same here! Fx4100 gets so much stick but the truth is, it's awesome! :)

  • why is everyone so worried about the power supply mounted fan up? there's nothing wrong with mounting it that way...Corsair obviously agrees considering they put a massive CX500 logo on it that you would only see if you mounted it like this. its a solid budget build. good job.

    Cheers,

  • @joelanderson000 Thanks, lol. I see no problem. especially since there's a huge logo right side up on it.

  • haha your power supply is definitely upside down my friend.

  • I dont think its possible to mount a power supply upside down...you can mount them fan up, fan down. ive seen them lying on their side. you can mount motherboards sideways in some big cases. really there's no such things as "upside down" with these things haha.

    cheers,

  • The power supply is upside down.

  • @starterfight lol, I'm not sure about that.

  • @mrgeo20 fan exhaust out the bottom

  • @starterfight It's fine this way, it can be mounted fan up or down, does not matter much.

  • @1and1isme May be a little bit more quite, would also look better with the cables going to the back of the case not across the whole width of the case...

    still a good build though

  • @starterfight

not necessarily... perhaps there isn't much space underneath the case; then it'd be better that the psu would be mounted with it's fan upside so it can suck air more easily.

  • That graphics card looks pretty beefy

  • @mikeytingstrom it's a midrange card. It's got good performance for a reasonable price. From what I heard it's also very well overclockable. It'll run the latest games on some pretty high settings :)

  • how did you find out the specs for the graphics card because im getting the m5a78l-m usb3 and on the specification website it doesnt include any thing about graphics

  • @zDraaGGzzz what you're referring to is the motherboard and I don't understand what you're asking.

  • Did the school pay to build the PC?

  • @DayLight95 lmfao, no. I paid for it. I've never built a computer before and my teacher builds them often. I took it to him for helpful advice and to make the build go smoother.
