I have heard these a couple times and they always fail to impress me. I think they make a poor sub for a car due to the shallow design on them. Even with a lot of travel you get less sound from a shallow cone than you would from one that is really deep and concave. I think these would be much better in home than in a car for that fact. But the price on cerwins just ouch not even worth considering when you put much more affordable models next these and they sound the same.

is the spider made from different mterial to? i had the 12 in this version and the spider tore on me. also on a cerwin vega vega 12 they are made with the same spider material and that tore to
