i'm really a novice when it comes to animation, the only things i have done so far is flash, and i've never done things like storyboarding, have any tips? i have no idea how to do it, or what to do it on

Storyboards are used to plan camera shots, continuity and stuff before animating begins :D You can try reading books on storyboarding like Film Directing: Shot by Shot. There's lots more books about storyboarding, try googling for them :D

Well everyone was busy with dayjobs and concentrating on our book. Plus I was away for a year :( Next year, we're going to put 110% efforst in finishing this! We're gonna stop with the book production
