  • @EliteParanoia Kind of lame how many people associate this traditional song with Tetris as it had been existing for a long time before the game even came out.

  • nee huiya siebe

  • ALL HAIL THE MOTHERLAND... and tetris.

  • This is real smart.

  • does anyone have the music for this, for guitar?

  • Yeah, I would really like to have the chords to this too!

  • может любой давать мне музыку для этой песни (для гитары)

  • nice, Im the bass player and lead vocalist for a folk metal band we are working on this song. The guitar was great on this song all around. I liked where you guys were going with the vocal hamonization and the octave unisons a lot. Work on vocal intonation, tone and timing and you will rock the shit out of this one.

  • Spasibo!

  • nice guys

  • great, it takes me way back to my younger days.

  • блин, facepalm.jpg

  • you DO know litvinenko was insane?

    he was KGB himself anyway..

but i do agree that putin will try to stay in power as long as he can no matter, despite the recent handover

  • For 'some' reason?

Us Brits seem to have a problem with anyone who doesn't want us to interfere with their internal affairs! hehe

  • That was so awesome, huh?

  • That sounded rich and intoxicating.

  • love the concepts behind the vocal harmonies although somewhat sloppy in places, but altogether good. a little practice and you guys will be kicking ass.

  • russians own. so does this song. tetris has a modified version of this song lol.

  • великолепное возвращение в мое детство

  • I can't understand what you said, but if it's Russian its gotta be good, thumbs up!

  • I believe he or she said: "a splendid return to my childhood", so, yeah thumbs up!!

  • I love returns to my childhood. Things were all nice an happy..

  • You rock ^_^

  • Maladets cheloveki

  • Haha! The guy does look like Chekhov! He needs a cane and a bowler!

  • Its all right in my opinion if Americans play the song, but it's irritating that everyone thinks its "Tetris". It's not a friggen video game song, its about two young people seducing each other. And then Bond has to go and over dramatize it. However, I'm an American who's learning Russian so...yeah, I'm russian at heart? Kind of?

  • I am Russian, as for you claiming Bond over dramatizing it. I got news for ya, some MUSIC is suppose to be dramatic. When The Russian Red Army Choir plays you don't think it comes from the heart.

Thats what music is all about my friend, EMOTION

Look up DRAMATIZE in the dictionary,"To present or view in a dramatic or highly emotional way"

  • Tetris's Type A theme is based on Korobushka. I wonder how Alexei Pazhitnov feels about using Korobushka as a theme for a puzzle...

  • Beautifully done! About 30 years ago when I was a child, I learned to do a traditional Russian figure dance to this song. Many of us were taught all Russian folk songs and dances at St. Michael's Russian Othodox Church in Saint Clair, PA (USA). I'm very proud of my Russian roots and was so pleased to hear your rendition of "Korobushka!"

    Thank you.

    Pavel

  • Who is Anton Chekov over there?:) Great music guys. I love russian culture. Thanks for sharing.

  • Heh. My brother's no playwright, but he looks tight...

  • Hello, can you reccomend me more russian songs please. I listen your music everyday. Thanks.

  • finally i get to hear the actual korobushka, the russian folk song, not some techno tetris crap!

  • i loved it, im sick of americans playing this song this a cultural song thanks guys you guys sounded great!

  • That was so nice... I love Russia a lot! The music is just as beautiful... it would have been better if you sang Korobushka with Balalaikas instead... but I understand if you don't have any or can't.

The story of The Romanovs: Last Imperial Family of Russia is what skyrocketed my intrest in Russia.

    Are you Russian?

  • Thanks for the kind words. Yes, I am Russian, as are my brothers in this video. I'd love to learn to play the balalaika, but so far I haven't gotten to it :).
