Small point, Gordon Brown was never Deputy Prime Minister - he was the Chancellor of the Exchequer; and he could never be called a "yes-man" to Blair. You could legitimately say that he was Blair's greatest political opponent.

I can't figure out why everyone thinks Brown handled this session so badly. He's not the slick schmoozer that Blair or Cameron is, but he comes accross as a very genuine reasonable person. I feel alot safer having him at the helm than Blair or Cameron.
