Aston Martin spends thousands on the exhaust just to get the Tone to sound right. it doesn't get any better then that. what were you expecting? a Primitive underpowered shit box V8? V8's do sound good but they are very primitive. the technology is very old and very inefficient. power per liter is very poor with a V8. even a Honda can average 100 HP per liter. the American v8 about 40 :-)

Whining)or Twin Turbo (E.G.Hissing) does affect engine/exhaust sound also number of cylinders, firing order, bore and stroke, crankshaft type, exhaust and might also i add the fact everybody hears a little different as well all contribute to how each car sounds to each person. Short bore/short stroke flatplane crank gives u a Ferrari V8 opposed to short bore long/stroke OHV V8 ala Corvette
