you should try playing some coldplay, it seems that dog like that stuff for some reason. The only time my dog tried to sing was when she was a puppy. I was tuning my guitar with harmonics, playing 2 notes almost the same, and for some reason my dig felt the need to howl and meet the exact pitch of the notes.

I'm sorry for your loss Marvy. I've 3 dogs at home, and all I can say is that by merely looking at Buddy it's plain to see he had way above average intelligence. I can't help but think he lived as fully as a dog can, and that he has you and your daugther to thank for it.

Buddy has gone to Doggie Heaven a month ago. We had to allow him to fly...as the lymphoma had taken such a toll on his health.

Buddy is now 12+ years old and is still singing, but not as much. Unfortunately, he has developed cancer, so we are just keeping him as comfortable as possible. He still loves to sing, which he does almost daily when my daughter plays the piano.

I'm sorry to hear that Buddy is sick. My dog, Puppy Boy developed a malignant tumor on the very base of his tongue about a year ago. He was a Lab mix. Unfortunately, we had to let him go in March, it was so hard but I am so glad we had 9 wonderful years with him. My 6 year old daughter took it very hard. After he passed she wrote him a goodbye letter and we attached it to some balloons and let it go to send it to heaven. That helped her quite a bit.
Thank you for sharing your story. I like the idea of the balloons. Buddy, so far, is doing alright with his pain-killer. He still sings nearly daily, practicing as my daughter practices piano. When he's tired, he just hums. His tumor is on the right side of his throat...too close to the throat to operate. Plus, he is an older dog now. We plan to have him go in our arms here at home when the time comes. It's the least we can do to send him off to heaven.

He was singing and it wasn't because the sound was hurting his ears either. He really wanted to. I could tell. He wanted to make you happy. Good Boy. Makes me miss my dog. She passed a few years back. Sweetest dog we ever had.

nice he sings a fifth most of the time... if you ever think about animals for a while you'll realize most of them have cognition that supports these kinds of things. that doesn't stop me from eating them... pigs i mean, not dogs, and cows..
