ive never done anything didgital but ive always thought about it and Im thinking about getting a wacome tablet but i dont know if it will be too hard to use. do you think it will be overwhelming for some newcomer like me.
This was just an experiment for me. probably the first time i used this program. I just applied what I knew about something else to this. My advice is learn to like the process more than the final object. It's the only way to get better.
I made a brush in the program. easy to do. Yes I use pen pressure which this program is very good at feed back. I think this was probably the 2nd or 3rd image is used in the program.
Just wondering if u were still using the same computer. I hope u upgraded. Ur old comp was pretty slow, and u don't want something technical that can be replaced handicapping ur skill. Cuz u have skill, man. I still watch this video every few weeks.
That's not actually that fracking big. If it was something like 8.5 by 11 inches at 1200 dpi, then yes. It's cuz you're running a G5 Mac. It's expensive to upgrade to a better Mac, but you might want to. The video-cards and RAM on G5s suck. You could, alternatively, make a Intel x86 PC with some good parts for 1500 USD, and install OSX and Vista on it. Illegal? Not really. It just pisses Apple off cuz they overprice their hardware to make up for OSX's GNU restrictions.
If by tilt you mean rotate the image, then it's just a feature in that particular program. I know others do it, though I'm not sure how well. I normally ink "analog" so rotating the paper is very natural for me. The zoom feature is probably the nicest thing about digital "inking"..well that and undo :)
this is creature house expression 3/ now owned by microsoft as expression i think or designer. all of the inking is vector based and resolution independent.
Thanks for the comments. I did ink it, a friend of mine drew it, another friend supplied the music. The program's name is mentioned at the beginning of the vid.
Hey check out my video please :-) tell me what you think

What brush thickness did you use for his face? Beautiful.
Kasen717 7 months ago
@Kasen717 I think its the same brush used through out. It is pressure sensitive with the wacom tablet.

2 questions man..
how did you rotate your picture like that so you don't cramp your hand?
and how did you get your drawn paper sketch scan 'blueish' like it is on your screen?
apathet1ca 2 years ago
It's a shortcut in that program(it's not photoshop). The "blueline" was made in photoshop by adjusting hue/saturation.
emaicee 2 years ago
Oh thanks, I know how to adjust hue and saturation thanks i'll do that..
Is the rotation a shortcut on your wacom tablet? is it a default shortcut in the preferences?
thanks for your help
apathet1ca 2 years ago
Its on the keyboard of the program, not related to wacom. default yes.

Get a new computer...unless the image is really fracking big.
luckyhat4 3 years ago
yeah it is big. it was done at 1920x1200 resolution on a Mac G5.
