Reminds me of a cross between Han Zimmer's Pirates theme and Love Never (gack!) Dies.
It's beautiful I'd love to see this and the Yeston Kopit version (as well as the new steampunk version) on Broadway. Why did ALW have to kill them all? ;(
@Invaderphantomstar11 Because he's kinda greedy. I mean he DID make Love Never Dies despite vast fan protest, and can you name one musical of his that's not based on some one else's work?
This isn't to say he doesn't have any good musicals, it's just staiting facts.
I love how Hill chose this particular aria ("Je crois entendre encore") to accentuate the dark relationship between the Phantom and Christine. The melody is very fitting, and the lyrics too are incredibly haunting, with a very ghost-like quality, and are well-sung. I wish I could see this production live, and am sad that it was squashed out by ALW's.
It has some comic moments, that's what they mean. But it has some serious dramatic moments and its sort of done for the most part as a black humor/dry wit sort of show.
yes, in that respect it´s rather british - merging drama with comedy. but the comedy parts are confined to the secondary characters - the main plot, the tragic love story of eric and christine, is not made fun of. it´s a great production with beautiful music.
I love how haunting and beautiful this song is. It makes me want to research this musical a bit more. Thank you for the chance to learn about another branch of this beautiful and everlasting story.
I really wish I had the whole song, and I can't find ANY of the music anywhere! :( If I ever would have had the chance, I would have loved to have seen the musical live.
@IAngelofMusicI same here. I love what Hill did with this musical...yet all I've only heard the music and I'm dying to see the musical.I can't even find any download files of these songs....love Webber to death, but he's choking the Hill out of me. NEED MORE HILL.

@Sabatuar nah, that's cool. I completely agree, I don't like ALW (with the exception of Phantom, of course).

I wish there was some way I could see this show or at least a recording of it. Anyone have any ideas?

I'm more of an ALW person, but I like this song over all of Webber's.
