but I am sure there is some civilization ,now look at the age of that planet it got larger years to evolute a intelligent specie
probably they know we are here and we are noobs than them in technology field
maybe they came here time to time.I am sure they won't send a msg cause they want to hide themselves from these humans ,who already a plague to this earth
Cosmos, I imagine in 2049, the people of Earth will be pillaged and raped by a nomadic alien conquerors because they picked up your broadcast, good work. Meh, who cares. It's worth it to know.
So if it takes 20 years to get there, and if they understand it immediately, it would take a nother 20 years for us to recieve a message. That's 40 years. I will be 56 when I find out. Yay...
well they want send the message as a binary code, which, if the life on the planet is smart, they will be able to understand the code, or at least understand that it is such a strong signal that it has to come from other civilizations form other planets. Then they will be able to retrace the message back to our planet, and send a signal back. That is the main goal. IF they are smarter they will be able to understad our messages.
It will be helpfull to include some introductory with nums+words
Because the 'signal' is really just light, and a light year is the distance light travels in one year. The planet is 20 light years away, so the signal will take 20 years to arrive.
Lets have all the retards on this planet send messages to a possible hostile race...

Why does the signal reach the planet in 2029?
InventusMusic 2 years ago
give or take, its 20 light years away, 5 times farther than the Alpha Centauri system, which would take 4 or so years to receive a message.

Take note that 1 light year is around 9,460,350,000,000 kilometres.
Thats just under 10 trillion km.
Cheers!
