  • can i ask u which part u played the paf joe and which part u played on the evo 2.

  • @EspNik Yeah, from 0:00-0:41 I used the PAF Joe and from 0:42-1:29 I used the Evo 2. From there I just used the PAF Joe again.

  • nice face:)

  • Stop doing all those things with your mouth :) Its terrible to watch..but..its very pleasant to listen. Good luck

  • Wow, simply amazing. I'm honestly very impressed and as far as natural melody you win in my book. The others may be a bit more technical but you make the guitar sing without any unnecessary notes. Beautiful!

Oh and Would you mind sharing your Satchurator settings?

  • nice job man !! I like your guitar! sounds great and very clear !!!!

  • Putain le Kiff trop ton son de guitare !

    EXCELLENT !!!

    BEAUTIFUL Sound guitar

VERY VERY GOOD guitar and music

    100 STARS

  • Well...I'm late...as always...but I've compared your entry with the top 3 ones and I think that they are "machanical melodic",your entry has feel and tone that is more close to the one Joe Satriani in person can play...and a REAL melody, without unnecessary notes....great talend...for me you are the winner....and excellent tone also...

  • @SpeedPickers Thanks a bunch, that means a lot! :D

  • Hey man,

Which combo would you say you prefer, EVO 2 and Fred, or EVO 2 and PAF Joe?

    And why so?

    Thanks bro

  • @KleptoManicKat I like the Fred better with the Evo 2. Like I said in my demo vid, it's got a bit more power and it matches well with the Evo... If I put the Mo' Joe or Fred in the bridge, then I'd probably use the PAF Joe, in that case.

  • And the winner is....you!!!! Awesome!

  • @blumax68 Haha, unfortunately that's not the case, but thanks anyway ;)

  • OMG u stole that song!

  • @b0dnerationiolaGy Thanks! :D

  • Hey you've got an awesome tone and phrasing... Mind sharing your amp settings and your satchurator settings?

  • @qwertyofasdf Oh man... I can't remember how I used to set it. I know now my Satchurator has tone set at about 9 o'clock, volume and gain maxed. Amp's bass and treble is about 9 o'clock and mids at noon.

  • @samdubusc Thats pretty much how I setup my amp as well. I've been considering purchasing a Satchurator, cant decide if I want to or not though. You make that Marshall MG100HDFX sound awesome! Does that thing have stock speakers?

  • @qwertyofasdf I really really like my Satchurator. You won't be disappointed if you get one. Yes, it's got stock speakers, but I'm not using them. I'm using the emulated line-out. And thanks! ;)

  • @samdubusc Wow, I'm really surprised that the linout sounds that good.

  • @samdubusc So is this pure satchurator? Are you going through the clean channel of your amp? If so that is a really good pedal

  • @qwertyofasdf Oh yeah, Satchurator through the clean channel. I've got some delay and maybe some reverb, but that's it.

  • @X09FHA Well, luckily for me, that's not what I was going for! Also, no sunglasses... see? :D

  • Wow, this was just so amazing. I cant stop listening to it and i subbed to you. I honestly can't wrap my mind around the fact that 4 people rated this a thumbs down. What's even more amazing though is that you remind me of the guy from Superbad. Lol jk about it being more amazing than you're playing. Seriously, you're a great guitarist. And i see you love the wah lol. Oh yeah, i see your laundry basket lol. Just thought id mention that

  • @AgariRG Hahaha wow yourself! And yes, "McLovin" had been my nickname for quite a while... to this day, I still don't know why... :P

  • NICE

  • Nice

  • you're ridiculous face! trying to be satriani.... tsc tsc

  • @skiba13 Haha, I gotta do something, otherwise I'm boring to watch... :P

  • sucks you didnt win!!!!!! i wanted you to!!

  • Aw man, you're too nice... Thanks bro!! :D

  • This is.......

    FUCKING AWSOME! :D

  • I'm glad you think so! :D

  • Nice! I like it!!!

  • Just ran across this video again...

Did that JS come with a Fred in the bridge?

If so, how did it compare to the Evo 2?

  • Yeah, the JS came with a Fred. The Fred is an awesome pickup... I can only really describe it as... "sweet". It has a lot of different overtones, depending on how you pick, among other factors. It also has a lot of headroom. The Evo 2, like I mentioned before, has a distinct midrange-y voice. Basically, a softer Vai sound, I guess. Also has more power. Anyway, I really love it, that's why I kept it.

  • Im thinking of buying a evo2 pickup for my own made les paul. I like to play really from instrumental metal songs to rock n roll, but what Im really looking for is a kind of unique sound that has this bassy feeling and soft sound. Would you recommend this pickup for me?

  • I had the Evo 2 in my PRS which was mahogany (which is what I'm guessing your LP is) and I loved it. However, it's not bassy or particularly soft. It has a very unique, midrangey tone. Although I'd recommend the Evo 2 in a second, it's probably not what you're looking for. I would try going to DiMarzio's website and use the Pickup Picker function. Good luck!

  • well I went to the website and looked at this super distortion pickup, It was told that it has lots of bass and not so much treble and it had got good reviews :). I think Ive found it.

  • Super Distortion is a really popular one, go for it! :D

  • hey bro...what chord (or finger positioning) do you use at :42? it sounds sweet and i'm trying to replicate it...but i can't get it right...thanks dude...rock on!

  • It's just a blues thing. It's the 8th fret on the B string and 7th fret on the G string. You play that and bend the G string two semitones, letting the two strings ring while you do it. Hope that helps you!

  • hey man nice tone love teh sound the Dimarzio pick ups how much was it for teh evo 2 bridge pick up?

  • Most DiMarzios are about the same price; $70 for black (and some other colors).

  • Sick!... Nice job!

  • Sex faces from hell!

but that is in this case, the sign of very genuine, emotional playing...killer man, just killer

  • 1st place for Most Creative Description goes to oilpit!

  • i never get tired of this.. need to hear it *live* :)

  • Haha, oh yeah? Well, you need to come over (with your guitar!) and we need to jam.

  • that could be a possibility....

  • your playin is AMAZING!

u remind me when i walk to see steve vai in hes master class XD (with your faces~)

keep on rockin in this creepy world :]

  • Heheh, thanks! I thought I'd have some fun with this video. :P

  • we see ;P

  • really great tone man! vry good playing too, keep rocking!

  • Thank you, thank you!

  • nice solo. wish the leads would have stuck out more once the distorted rhythm came in.

  • Heh, I'll play with a brighter tone next time. ;)

  • have you ever had problems with audacity? Sometimes when I try to record through audacity it does fine. But a lot of times it will start out recording fine and then it will start cutting out. You know, like a cell phone in dead zone. Ever had that problem?

  • Eh, sometimes... If I have a huge project and my computer will start running out of RAM and it may freeze up. I used to have problems like that in Linux. You'll record and then listen to it to find chunks of it missing. As far as I know, this has been fixed... So to answer you question: Yes, I have, but not for a while.

  • I wish I never sold my MG100HDFX =(

  • Force is with you. Don't stop fucking rocking for a time, ave! \m/

  • Haha, thank you, sir! I think yours wins the "best comment award". ;D

  • Great job!

  • awesome. nice guitar...nice distortion...good use of the wah.....you stood up to play...not too shreddy ....good technique....good notes...I liked it!

  • Really enjoyed this man. 5/5. Check out mine when you get the chance!

  • It's just amazing how much feeling you put into this solo while playing ! For me you have to win !!!

    Also nice guitar ^^

  • Wow, dude... I don't know what to do say except... thanks!!

  • you got a nice melodic approach, I prefer that over anything to be honest...

    good luck man!

  • im reallllly liking the faces you make :P

  • Um, muchas gracias... heheh

  • i think you might get the top three... best of luck to you

  • Wouldn't that be cool... Thanks!

  • it would be cooll.. you got the potential to do it! i was thinking of doin it. but idk lol

  • very rock!!! ^_^ good luck for the contest

  • Nice job man, best solo Ive heard for this competition so far, your just about the only person Ive seen who wasn't just shredding for the sake of showing off

  • Thanks man. Yeah, I tried to focus more on... feeling... than shredding.

  • what's your equipment???

  • I put the gear info in the description. ;)

  • sorry, I meant to ask what do you use to record

  • Oh, sorry! I have an "emulated line out" on my amp's head. I line out from that to my laptop's line in. I use Audacity to record the audio. And that's it! :D

  • Haha, I love audacity. Excellent solo!

  • Boy, you must have a good laptop. I use Audacity a lot too, but computer really stinks at recording good quailty. It's a compaq.

  • It's pretty good. It only has a 1GB of RAM though...

  • Heh, thanks

  • nice man! you've got some crazy talent. (this is mikal, btw)

  • Hehey, Mikal! Glad you liked it :D

  • Absolutely brilliant, except the tapping, it sounded slightly of beat to me. Good luck though!

  • Thanks for your entry! Cheerz, Julian

  • Incredible tone. It was over too soon. It made me want to hear the rest of the song! Flippin' beautiful.

  • That great guitar is in good hands! Nice entry man.

  • Thanks man! I try to do it justice.

  • Thanks a lot! Yes, Sam I am. And the guitar is even better looking in person. ;D

  • Beautiful!

Satch influences definetly, Tshirt.. guitar :p

Js 1200 very good ? any bad remarks about it ? Im gonna buy it to

    Grzzt

  • Heheh, sharp eye! ;)

I love the JS1200. The only problem I have is with the Edge Pro; the teflon washers on the trem arm get worn quickly, so the arm doesn't stay stiff. Other then that, the JS1200 is probably the best guitar ever made. Definitely get it!

  • Full of everything man, very nice interpretation. 5 starz ApB

  • Sweet, I'm glad you liked it!
