PCs that are priced as high as Macs have better specs. So they're quicker in every way, including Photoshop, movie and sound editing. Tons of freeware is out there for PCs making literally everything possible while Mac is yet to have nearly as many.
Therefore the main claim Apple made with the Mac seems false, and it has nothing else going for it. What are people paying for then?
The laptops. These days, a MacBook is basically an equivalent (if not high) spec x86/x64 machine with one hell of a battery lifespan. I'e never had any non-Apple laptop last even a quarter of the time this does - most of my laptops used to emergency sleep after 40 minutes, even on power save plan. This one's currently been running 2 hours, with the timer reading another 1:50 to go.
Actually, there are a massive number of devices that work on PC and don't work with a Mac. Macs are reportedly much harder to find compatible hardware for then a PC.
But once you find that rare device, yes, its true. You don't need a driver. Because it's already there.
Their not saying that every application "Just works" with a Mac, their saying that hardware that would normally need drivers on a PC (The Japanese printer) just works with a Mac.
Mitchell and Webb are actually funny though and this advert probaly isn't the best example of their work, whereas it was probably the highlight of the American pairs careers.

Um.. wait a sec... why is installing drivers on a mac easier than on Windows? In both cases you have to INSTALLL drivers.. practically, it's almost the same procedure. Well, except for Vista. Vista locates and installs drivers on its own (maybe except for really old and cheap devices).

Um.. wait a sec... why is installing drivers on a mac easier than on Windows? In both cases you have to INSTALLL drivers.. practically, it's almost the same procedure. Well, except for Vista. Vista locates and installs drivers on its own (maybe except for really old and cheap devices).

It's pretty fun that MacOS is prided as being so network-friendly, but since Windows XP standard versions lack AppleTalk protocols, that means Apple had to stoop down to Microsoft Network standards! AHAHAH!

everything i've bought recently comes with a cd for mac osx and xp. in fact when i'm installing on xp it pisses me off when it thinks its found some really good drivers on its own and fucks things up.

Mac & Pc can work in network easily OK, but what a waste is this "cooperation". PC works with USB devices as good as Mac, but its true that can be some problems with latest stuff.
