To repeat what 69ledouche said, listen to this track elsewhere. Youtube's compression has definitely done a number on this remix, and it's actually one of my favorites off of the album. Try Grooveshark, and give this track a chance it's actually a really great glitched out version of the song.
:) I recognize that there are certain drum hits that are specifically programmed to be short hits, but on this particular youtube video the audio is like over-compressed or something. It's being clipped to hell.
That being said, I encourage YOU to listen to it elsewhere, but with headphones. In the vid about, for example, 1:15 - 1:45 (or at the 2:55-3:05 mark and many others), you can hear the clipping really well. A respectable copy of the track doesn't have any of that junk.
I'm surprised by the negative feedback, this is one of my favorites. Anstam, unlike a lot of the others, actually made this track his own and it's a damn catchy beat on top of that. Love it.
i'm really surprised how negative people feel about this one. the rythm jumps and pops with a bounce not really found on any other rmxs(maybe lone's "feral"). as much as i LOVE modeselektor i thought their track fell pretty flat, talk about anticipation, the songs with thom on them from "monkeytown"("shipwreck and "this") made good evening mr. magpie look like a pretty boring house remix.
for me brokenchord, lone, altrice, jacques greene, pritchard and anstam are my favs. (@mode/four tet)
Aww.. The remixes have been keeping a pretty high standard, but this one just doesn't work out for me. The two other remixes from this batch are awesome though!
I love where this goes and what they bring back. It's done with eloquence and class. "This isn't Radiohead"? They had a BIT of influence on this, did they not?.... Who are you to say what is Radiohead and what is not? Don't blame the band if you cannot keep up. Stale bread certainly is not toast, my friend.
Unfortunately this is one of my least favourite of the remixes. The hear Separator in such a frantic tone just doesn't feel right. I miss the soothing the original provides. I think my favourite remixes overall were the Jacques Greene, Caribou, Objekt and Modeselektor remixes.
Radiohaed toujours aussi inventif. Bravo à eux, et longue vie, ne les oublions pas! Pékatrois-Héphestion, Genève

Ya the quality of the audio on this particular Youtube clip is terrible, which is unfortunate because the track itself is incredible.

@69ledouche It's really not though. Listen to it somewhere else. It's supposed to be like that.

@Bob12345678910423 Nope - this upload really is terrible. Sounds a hundred times better on Radiohead's Soundcloud page.

This song, and the whole album will play an important role in this new dark electronica (non psy-trance) era which thom is pioneering

Hum this is a dope remix. I don't get why people say it's bad.

Its ok but so many mixes take away from the originals-feels a little lazy from the band to commission so many....

It sounds alright, but just poorly cut in places, no one likes a big glitchy sounding split track

This makes a fine beer taste so much better. All hail Radiohead, not the thief, but the giver. The Robin Hood of the starved talent seekers.
