I just bought an iPad 2 and had it Jailbroken.

It's possible to just restore it to regular ios settings and restore it to factory and get rid of all the jailbroken features correct? I know it would void the care, but is it possible?

And say I wanted a legit $1.99 Scrabble or what ever that was on the app store, I would be able to get that for free on a jailbroken device?

What about emulators, I'm craving a Pokemon game or Mario..

@ChaseyMichaelis It's not hard to restore it to factory settings. I had my iPod jailbroken at one point, it's fairly simple to do it.

@playerdepimp No, you can anytime. You can jailbreak it and then restore it which will get rid of the jailbreak but, Apple will always know that you jailbroke the device so, you won't have a warranty or Apple Care.

@TheKg251 When I upgrade all of my phones with my carrier. They don't even usually look at my phone. Its not illegal or anything so, I am very sure that they will let you upgrade. I wen't from an LG to an iPhone 4S last week and they didn't even ask to see my old phone. (Although it wasn't an iphone they still probably don't care to see it) More then anything I bet they let you upgrade. Just as long as you get a plan with them their happy.

there is a way to unbrick ur iPhone or iPod touch... i did it... an i had a iPhone 3g and u get a custom ipsw. and a custom restore ipsw. and you need redsnow and win redsnow you put your iPhone or idevice in Pwn DFU MODE then go to iTunes and restore from the custom restore ipsw. and thats it you did it...

leaving jailbreakers alone isnt an apple rule. jailbreaking is legal. Piracy is not. also people Search your latest firmware when searching for a proper jailbreak the ones he listed wont work at all on the latest firmwares.

say your screen gets cracked and it still woks but you want a new on. If you restore it from a jailbreak will apple be able to figure out if it has been jailbreaken

@skaterenvy1 From what I have heard even if you restore it after a jailbreak you wont want to send it to them because, for one the warranty will be over. Two, if they discover it jailbroken they will either send it back or they wont. So, I would not risk it. See what the prices will be for you to repair your screen yourself and if its over $100 I would recommend just buying a new iPod Touch.
