How to Use the G.E.C.K. in Fallout New Vegas - Basic Weapon Mod

@RetardedChickenVids make sure you right click the geck and hit "run as admin" so it can actually add the file to the data folder. It won't without admin privileges

When you launch the game. Click on the data files icon, and all your modded shit will be in there. You have to click on it and then start the game. Bam, idk if thats what ya'll meant but if it was any help no problem.

Do I need to start a new game? When I put a weapon somewhere in the G.E.C.K., I can't find it in-game and I did check "Ignored by Sandbox" and "No AI acquire".

I also selected to load falloutnv.esm, test.esp and the DLC esms.

Once you install geck into where your Fallout directory is, OPEN that file and COPY everything in there (DO NOT COPY THE FILE ITSELF OR IT WILL NOT WORK). Go to your steam/steamapps/common/fallout­­newvegas and then paste everything there (DO NOT PASTE IT IN DATA OR ANYTHING ELSE). Now open Geck go to data and look!!! IT'S THERE!!! Happy fucking modding.

Hey, I saved my into Data and when I go into files its not there, the only time I can atcaully 'find' the file is when I: (In GECK) File-Export-Select/Clear Export Filter File and aparently its 'locked' considering theirs a lock next to it, I am trying to re-save it but its not giving me the option to save it anywhere differently, so I'd like to know how to re-save it into a different file and how to 'unlock it'. Thanks- (Also I downloaded the GECK AFTER the update so I dont think that applies.

The geck, if you have the problem whre it doesnt load just redownload it from the internet site and just copy and replace the geck worked for me, hope it helps :)

1.4 is the latest just google geck new vegas 1.4

@PillmyChill well, basicly its just that GECK is loading pretty much every files in the game and it will take abbout 30sec-2 mins depending on ur computer. then when u select data files new vegas it will freeze again but don´t worry it will start soon. hope it helped

@bigdshub change the resolution in control panale to the seconed highest (depending on how good your screen is) Basically it makes everthing smaller so you can click shit below the bar. Hope that helped

@bigdshub i assume your talking about the render window, middle mouse button click and drag for up down left right, zoome in with mouse wheel if it takes to long and use the shit and drag for rotation.
