What to you have at the bottom of the can to make the smoke? I've seen a couple of different ways. Did you use wood chips on a hot plate of a Smokey Joe and charcoal?
That is so awesome! I plan on making a trash can smoker to smoke a turkey for Thanksgiving. I was wondering, what kind of trash can are you using? I am a bit worried about using a can because of "metal fume fever". If there's nothing to worry about, please do let me know.
If you preburn and presmoke the can, you will be fine. The chemicals used to galvanize trashcans doesnt offgas until about 500 degrees, we cook at about 250.
I like it! I used two LP tanks for my firebox, just looking what other have done before... BTW I build mine under $20 CHECK IT OUT!
