Man, this highlights how amazing Maschine software is. Literally all you'd have to do in Maschine is load the sample onto one of your pads then enter keyboard mode then if you have a separate keyboard MIDI like I do, you can play the samples on that already pitch changed or you can just play them on the pads or paint the midi notes in the piano roll.
When I open the audio track in the edit window (where you can drag it to change the pitch) and I press the corresponding key, I don't even hear the audio sample. Any suggestions?
hey im pretty new to production and in all honesty, dont know shit about it. but ive been toying around with Fl studios demo and i want to know whats the best investment in my money. i wanna focus on dubstep and electro inspired music. so if anyone could provide me with any information on the different DAWs and which is best for what im looking to do, id really appreciate it
When I divide the audio sample and convert it into a new sampler track, when I press the corresponding keys it doesn't make any noise/play the sample. Help!
Is it not easier to get the glitched sound by cutting the small part you want to glitch out of the audio region and then drag it from the top right corner to loop it over and over again quickly?
It' a great tutorial which gives an interesting result in the end. It's quite complicated and when the mixer comes up it's total confusion. What makes it understandable nevertheless is the dialect
"först åff wi niid to tjåpp åpp the wöörds:=) Ya' that's clear
I am quite n advanced user of logic but some of the stuff you showed here seriously helped me out. Like using EXS24 faster than loading new instrument and putting everything in manually. I was expecting just another skrillex tutorial and instead I got to learn some quicky techniques i can apply to lots of things. I love u man haha :)
@djgnome1370 You're using Logic 9 right? I have 8 Pro and when I click the samples I don't have the "convert" or "convert to new sampler track" option :( is there still a way to convert them to MIDI-usable regions like you did?
@PowerHouseNet Thnx. Do you mean a more dubsteppy beat or just the samples? Anyhow u are probably right since this is just the kick and snare from some ultrabeat preset. For next time ill prepare :)

FYI Skrillex uses melodyne for all his vocal chopping, he said it himself, its a pretty unique tool.

@AtTheRiot its sampling through melodyne, using pitching and timestrechng

Nice tut, to be honest (even for the sake of a tutorial you could have used a different drum beat)
