It's just a different style. Samsonov really isn't a speed-power player, he usually is a punch-blocker from what I've seen. Depends a whole lot on placement.
Whereas Ma-Lin, Ma-Long and to a lesser extend Wang Liqin try to overwhelm their opponents with speed and power.
