  • @Lexinoz damn you answered a question a day before it was asked. genius

  • @Lexinoz hehehe...nuts

  • Comment removed

  • @x19silverado90x

There is a mod that let's you smelt weapons (not all, but most of them) back into ingots.

The devs were just too lazy to add many practical functions to the game which should really be there (like working key remapping for example, more than 8 hotkeys, mounted combat, interface designed for M+KB, etc.).

It's not surprising, since the main focus in game development these days is set on graphics, so it leaves little time for the actual gameplay improvement.

  • I smithed over 300 iron daggers last night. I upped my smithing from 17 to 100 in about 4 hours. And got 10 levels.

  • I upgraded my armor with a smith base of 100 but I can still raise(smithing) to by means of using potions and enchants and being rested.

Question can you still smith it again?

  • If you craft better items does it increase your level faster?

  • Where do you find the first metal smelter to make ingots?

  • does the ore get better as you level up because i am level 20 and i can't find any of the beginner ores, or maybe im just blind.

  • @tripnballslol You can mine iron ore in the Halted Stream mine (not 100% about the name) north of Whiterun.

  • u got 100smithing today

  • when you say iron, you say it like i-ron, its actually ir-on not trolling, just giving feedback;)

  • Can u craft arrows?

  • @WizRyaaN unfortunately not :(

  • what is the best way to go in smithing for heavy armor?

    Daedric or Dragon?

  • Anyone know the best race to be a smith?

  • @SiiKgaming007 probably orc they are very good smiths.

  • i have moonstone ore, malachite ore and ebony ore but how do i melt them into an ingot

  • your voice is a mixture of robert downey jr. and keifer sutherland

  • The best place to sell Ores is at Reach. The one guy im talking about never runs out of money and he gives you full price of the value :D PS: Reach is right near the left hand mine and Markarth

  • are u german?

  • @sdeary1 He's Norwegian, it even says so on his channel

  • Your voice is so relaxing :D im submitting this to Soothetube

  • @TheDraindeimo Haha, thanks I guess. It's actually something I hear quite often, that I have a calm/relaxing voice. I've even had friends tell me they turn on my videos to watch when they're going to sleep :D Maybe I should start doing books on tape or something x)

  • @Lexinoz Its the pops and cracks in your voice, if you like the idea of people watching your videos to fall asleep, i suggest looking up ASMR. There is a Community on Youtube and Facebook, we use videos like these with soft spoken voices to relax our self. For all you know your friends could have ASMR, they probably do since they use them to fall asleep. Any who, it would broaden your fan base, i know the community would love you.

  • @Lexinoz hahahahha!!! agree! like children's books... so they could sleep faster. hahahahaha!!! i guess i'll buy that for my kids. hahahahah!!!

  • @Lexinoz UHM.... YES!!

  • how do I find a smelter?

  • @madsealman

check whiterun the blacksmith there has a Smelter

  • @Darkdayzz ok ty

  • Do the veins comes back? or perm gone

  • hey pretty good vid. you should probably say which town this smelting thing is in :D.

  • QUICKER WAY TO MINE: Set your Pickaxe to Favorites. Then equip it whenever you see something to mine. Spam attack and you'll get your ore much faster than pressing the button to mine it for the mining "cutscene." As you spam attack, you'll see that the ore is being deposited into your inventory.

  • thanks much

  • Do the vains refil

  • its an alright video but useless to me cause the only thing i don't know is where is a smelter.

  • OMG i feel so STUPID i have been looking for a smelter since i was a lv 5 and first walked into whiterun and now havving givin up and being at lv 25 i find this video a little but THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH lexinoz

  • Comment removed

  • Where is a smelter...

  • @lexinoz the ore regenerates once a month in game time :D

  • I've been doing nothing but smithing... I'm a high level, but my combat skills kinda suck lol.

  • theres a smelter at whiterun black smith soon as u enter whiterun on ur right

  • This was helpful as I missed the bit in the manual on smithing and about there being a smelter for the ore. I assumed it would maybe be a perk on the smithing tree, or at the least one of the smiths would mention something like that in dialog. They tell you of the other equipment they have you can use and what for. I don't recall them mentioning a smelter.

  • where can i find a smelter o-o cuz i cant find one

  • Thank you! : )))))

  • anyone know if ores regenerate see yes and no

  • Where the fuck do I find malachite and ebony? I've been to shop after shop and through a whole lot of mines and can't find any D:

  • @Tehbestshot very top of throat of the world i think i found about 3 ore and if you follow the path down you will run into about 4 or 5 more different ores

  • @Tehbestshot I've believe I've gotten those in Dwarven ruins, either just laying around, or maybe as loot from Centurions or spider workers, or chests.

  • You sound like Notch.

  • @Nonsenseformonnsense Yeah smelters aren't as common but they're pretty easy to find so you'll have to haul the ore around till you can smelt it, and you need to put points in the smithing tree to unlock the ability to craft higher quality armor and weapons

  • @TheSupertich yeah its when you can craft with ebony i think thats smithing level 50

  • ive been playing for a few days now and i cant find a smelter anywhere where are the ones youv found? D:

  • @skipmcfonz go to whiterun. then turn right

  • There is a Transmute Ore spell in the mine north of whiterun. It's laying on the table in the back of the mine, just off to the left of the mammoth carcass. You can get a quest to get rid of the bandits there by doing work for the companions guild (its very very early in.)

  • @gtrescgh Haha, ok I'll keep that in mind, but I feel you can't really exploit that too much since you're still needing to put points into Smithing, and for that you need to level anyways :p

  • @gtrescgh You go girl! x) Haha, no, for real, good luck :P

  • The format is: Requires: X Steel Ingot (N) where X is the number of ingots you need and N is the number you have avaible, in your bags.

  • @jsharris1229 oh ok, I actually did not know this, but that makes sense, thanks bro :D

  • doe viens come back?

  • Does ore regenerate after a while while like plants?

  • @dmoney60100 I don't know, honestly, but if I had to guess I would say no, since when you go through a mine and kill everyone there, the dungeon is marked as "Cleared" on your map. So there's no real incentive to return to it again I'd imagine.

  • @Lexinoz The ores do regenerate :)

  • @Lexinoz actually enemies begin to respawn after long periods of time in dungeons regardless of being cleared or not.

  • @Lexinoz i found a staff recently, but after some casting it wont fire again, above my stamina bar there was some sort of a grey bar witch was empty, plz help! i realy need it!

  • @gamegard2 you need to you full soul gems to fill it back up :)

  • @lordjimbob01 Thx!

  • @gamegard2 it was probably enchanted and you'll need to recharge the enchant again, it usually happens everytime you find an enchanted weapon, the enchantment won't last forever you must always keep on recharging it.

  • @Lexinoz actually, yea they do respawn. im not sure of the time table required, but in the mine that you find transmute (forget its name) there are 15 iron ore veins and i went through it, mined it empty, came back a few hours later (in game time) and they were full again

  • @Lexinoz Ores do regererate but it takes a looooong time. About a month in game. =)

  • @Lexinoz 1 month in game and its regenerated

  • @dmoney60100 Mines will replenish after 1 month in-game

  • @coolwrld115 hey what skill do i need to improve armor even more my ebony is at epic and it cant increase anymore because it says i lack the skill

  • @ConfeshunzzZ im not sure (i chose the light armor side) but you can try to get your smithing to 80, that's when i crafted my glass into legendary

  • @ConfeshunzzZ Just have a higher skill level, so increase the smithing skill.

  • @dmoney60100 Veins regenerate after around a month of in-game time.

  • hey thanks for the videos lex, lots of help :)

  • Where do you find other ores like corundum ore which is combined with iron to make steel. I have the steel perk for smithing but I can only find iron ore (I picked up one silver ore though). So do I need to be a certain smithing or main level to find different ores? I'm level 9 right now and will be 10 by the time someone reads this. I also have 24 smithing

  • @BFBC3 From what I've been gathering it's pretty random. You can go to the wiki and find locations(thats what I'm doing because I need just one quicksilver and one moonstone ore to make my elven bow!

  • I got transmutation magic and now am turning iron to silver, silver to gold ore. Thanks for this though

  • @mayonakanoromansu Tellus how to get that magic?

  • @TheGenShadoe I do believe that I found a spellbook for it in the 'Halted Stream Camp'; because I remember it was in a cave with a lot of iron deposits. I'm not sure how the game works; so I don't know if everybody's games will have that item (or any other item) in the same place :/

  • questions 1) where can i find a smelter? not all blacksmiths have it

    2) when i see what armor i can make from the forges the highest i can do is iron BUT my smithing lvl is 59 so shouldnt i begetting new stuff by now???

  • @Nosensefornonsense The smelter I found was right as you enter Whiterun, on the right side there's a Blacksmith lady, Avenicci. Right by the house there is the Smelter. And you can make better armor as you put points into the Smithing tree. For instance one point in the tree unlocks the ability to make Steel stuff, and so on up.

  • @Nosensefornonsense 1.The blacksmith in whiterun has one

    2. All skills have perks, the smithing perks allow you to make new types of armor (steel, dwarven, ext...) you gotta put perk points into your smithing.

  • @mdude009 2) bah I have reached lvl 20 and havent perked anything yet lol

  • @Nosensefornonsense i thing you need to get the smithing perks to use other things

  • I havent tested this thoroughly but doesnt wearing Miners Clothes get more ore from the vein, or even quicker?

I swear i put them on once and got 3 from a vein rather than one or two

  • @Dortz666 I really haven't heard anything about that untill just now. But you know, I definitely wouldn't put it past bethesda to have that in the game :D I'll try it :D

  • @Dortz666 i always get 3 iron ore from a vein
