Dole partnered with Monsanto a few years ago & their workers are treated unfairly. Try to buy "fair trade" bananas, they cost more, but they taste better and its better for the environment/people. I get them at Amarket where I live. You can try Whole Foods or Trader Joes.
they are using small airplanes for spraying the chemical!!! While you the First World peoples eat this you wonder why the cancer is exploding in number!!!
@o10ciano More cancer, less people, less demand for the banana, sales down, Dole dies.
Stop bitching, Dole will hurt itself.
Been eating Dole bananas my whole life, never knew the dangers till now. If ya want more people to know, don't say anything. When bodies pile up, they might figure it out. For the most part, nobody knows about this.
you know, it's EXTREMELY hard to plant the banana from the seeds. It's better to just wait for the banana trees (if you have any) to drop the bananas and just leave it there naturally. I have a little banana tree and it grew batter like that. OH! and let it, also, get sun all day and Never leave it in a pot for a long time.
well as you know a lot of the domesticated edible banana plants are sterile and dont produce seeds they are propagated by offsets.if you have a seeded banana (crunchy variety) you can remove the seeds and let them dry. then place them in water overnite the floaters that you find in the morning are garbage and the ones that sink are plantable...easy as cake.
Try this link instead, and see what Dole really are.. watch?v=3VYPQ6jJKWY
