I have Custom Firmware 6.39 PRO B6, and this game will not work. I copy the go to the folder PSP SLIM (I know I have a slim) and copy the folder named "hl". I copy it to the folder GAME 150 (I created the GAME 150 folder myself, I didn't have it at first), and every time I get it, it either just shows "Corrupted Data" on the file, or has "HALF LIFE", and when I try to play, it says "The game could not be started, the file is corrupt". Help?

@TheK12314 Not really sure.. Make sure you have the correct "hl" folder, as I think there may be two. Im not too experience in that firmware as the last time I was messing around on the PSP like 5.00M33 had just come out!

I NEVER understood why the real Half-Life 1 (NOT Source) can't be played on PSP. Just mod the interface to play different. HLPSP is just ripped models from Half-Life 1, and ripped sound.

@ohnny4 For that, you need to understand specifications and power. The PSP has a cheap, ARM-based 333mhz processor and 64mb of RAM, and the requirements for Half-Life (According to Steam) are a 500mhz Pentium, and 128mb of RAM. Quake is like 100mhz and 24mb of RAM or something, and just ripping and scaling the models will work, but HL1 will not work because the 500mhz and 128mb of RAM are what the Half-life engine require, not the models or sounds.

@ohnny4 Also, lets not forgot the fact that to be able to run it, you'd have to port the Half-Life engine... which valve has not released making it impossible. You can rip everything if you want, but you'd have to remake all the coding in which it would just be better to make a homebrew of it like Solitude which would run so fucking better
