Is he insinuating that Jesus had to pay a fee to meet Mary M.? The words about the cup representing the blood of "our children all around", is backwards. The cup represented the blood Jesus would soon shed for the sins of all of us. BUT, I really liked the sound of the song, and thought that was beautiful. Just the fact that he's singing about Jesus at all, is amazing. Good for him!!! Since he's not a theologian, or a purporting Christian musician/writer, I give him an A.

@SuperKaterTot The song is not saying that Jesus had to pay a fee to meet Mary M. Her profession was prostitution so it's an analogous way to say that she was low-life. Also, "the blood of our children all around" had two meanings in the song, the first referencing persecution of Christians and the second referencing the substitutionary atonement of the Messiah, I believe.

I get goosebumps anytime i hear DMB sends a chill down my spine and puts an irreplaceable smile on my face from memories of the original band together on stage and the atmosphere of being at the show and Dancing in the Lawn section!!

Just seeing this kind of annoys me. I was at this show. If they are going to release a few tracks every couple months (a few from that Best Buy exclusive a while ago....), why not just release the whole show?
