  • The commentary wasn't that bad. It's not often that watching a kata performance makes you laugh. Anan indeed! Nice vid. Cheers.

  • Emozionante, bellissimo, bravissime!!

  • I have to say this is a great Bunkai. All I ask my fellow Karateka is to please keep an open mind. Remeber that each person see each Kata and it's application different. If we didn't we would live in a boring world.

Keep training and never give up. OSU

  • who won?

  • Kata is good for you and I just love practicing Kata.

But this what can I say.I agree too with alensus,Yet I would also be hating being the referee.I just like to see karate develop so yeah it would be hard being a judge when I have such a passion for Shotokan, I would be gutted to see either team lose.lol

  • great kata but not red hot

  • misma kata mujeres francesas

  • This Kata is performed beatiful. Three parts functioning as a whole. Extremely sunchronized. Wow!

  • Wow! Beyond words and concepts. All three worked together in that infinite unexplainable now. Right on that razors edge between the past and future. Great job.

  • "It must of taken them hours and hours of practice to get here" It takes hours and hours to master the punch. This skill takes months of practice by yourself and weeks synchronizing.

  • Excellent, brilliant, awesome!

  • I wonder if there is some audio software out there that can filter out those moron commentators. Why the need to do filler during such an intense performance?

    Kooks...

I have NO idea what these women are doing other than I'm utterly impressed.

  • @ratpak13 I can filter out the sound, but it would remove the kia's and ambiance of the performance too.

  • estupido narrador ¬¬

  • It's Gojushiho Sho.

    No jump in the kata.

And what the hell was he talking about?!

    Headbutt?!

  • Sorry, I cant understand you, My friend.

  • the interpretation of the kata is libre.asi each karateca adapts as appropriate for the kata, making each one karateca Bunkai kata diferente.el may not jump but karateca may want elegir.el Bunkai is libre.oosss

  • Hmm... I think I understand.

Thanks for the reply, my friend.

  • thats exactly what i thought!! i laughed when he said headbut :L i suppose it could be used as that so i forgive him anyway :L haha(:

  • Ahaha.

    I've learnt this kata now.

And Yeah, It probably could be used as a headbutt... Eh.

    ^^" xD

  • hey congratulations! its a lovely kata :)

I havn't attempted this kata but i have learned Gojushiho Dai version :) note: very badly tho, looong way to go ahaha ;)

  • Oh, Thank You, My friend. ^^

Yeah, Gojushiho Dai is in stage before Gojushiho Sho, In our style of karate.

I learnt the Dai version first too.

Just keep practising that, try to perfect it to the best of your ability.

Good luck learning the kata. They're pretty long, If you ask me.

  • Huh the sisters said: "UNSU"

    They were walking Gojushiho-sho

and the man said: "Kata Anan"

  • there name is "Buil"

  • Anyone know the names of the women on Team France? Any other videos of the "twins" performing other kata? Excellent perfomance!

  • Type karate + norway and you will see the twins again where they did a very good job in the event I was a part of organising. ( EC 2006 )

  • Its an awesome Kata but i still think that Japan's mades a better work... french just have some help with the twin's ones, but that don't say they weren't good enoght cause they were. I'm still practice to made something so good that them

  • hes probably a soccer announcer and he probably got paid

  • I'm only a kyu grade and really enjoying my journey. My sensei is male and very traditional, I'm also the only woman in my class. It's grate 2 see female dan grades they make it look so easy, they were both good and I'm sure they have worked very hard but JAPAN rocked .....brill.. as for the commentator don't even get me started!!!

  • belo gojushiho sho oss

  • LOL the guy just doesn't know what he's talkin about, Kata-Anan? right my opinion from makka1979 xD except the commenting 5 stars x)

  • Commentator:"I never took part in a team KARTA event"

    .. *It's KATA.*

And thank christ you never have, you dont kno what your saying.

btw, French were hot but Japan were better with or w/o the 3 secs over.

  • I love Karate, even if people say other martial arts are better than Karate.

I'm still thinking Karate is more than something you wanna look is something you wanna feel, something you live for it.

    I love it

  • listening to that commentator is depressing!! he honestly doesn't know what hes talking about. but the kata is precise, a pleasure to watch. i also think the Japanese were better, and therefore for me they take the prize pitty they exceeded the time limit.anyhow both teams were breathtaking to watch.

  • oh my god, the noise from that commentator, seriously!!! Why does that man have a mic?!!! Who allowed him to talk??! Excellent display though - very tough to choose between that one and the Japanese one but I think the Japanese one pinches it for me

    ^^

  • They say that Japanese team lost because they exceed time limit?

  • Yes.

  • I LOVE this team.

  • i agree with alensus... yupp yupp.. =)

  • Very fluent, dynamic and precise. Their Kata is nearly perfect as is the Kata of the japanese women, HOWEVER Japan had the "more" traditional and realistic Kata Bunkai. I m glad i was none of the referees but if i was i had raised the flag for the japanese team.

  • maravilhoso! muito bom!

  • only two words -- absolute perfection....

  • I like the traditional way of doing kata wherein there is no competitive spirit, only martial spirit where there is true self expression. I like watching the bunkai though....:-)

  • haha....he couldn't even pronounce "karate" correctly

  • what a horrible commentator....Gojushio-sho for one.....lollll headbutt?? omgg....if he doesn't know the application, he should just keep quiet...however, very nice team kata!impressive!

  • this is great but team japan were much better with their anan!

  • i couldn't take my eye's off the screen Fantastic.

    webmaster ippon karate

  • the idiot talks about his sensei in another clip yet he calls this Anan and he called the japan teams kata Empi,He also dosen't understand the empi is sharp in it's own Shuri-te nature while Anan is a fluid Naha-te kata. let's just enjoy the great performence.

  • Wow! That was fantastic.

  • Beutiful!

  • Most exellent indeed :--} ladies are so fluid and smooth .Nice one

  • The commentary is baaad....but kata is nice
