  • Beautiful I love all the projects you do there lovely .

  • @pinkbunny186 Thank you very much for your comment and thanks for watching!

  • The earrings are beautiful and you are a great teacher. I would like to know how you keep from scratching the wire with your chain nose pliers? I used my chain nose pliers to make the spiral and the spiral is all scratched up.

  • @GINGISNAPS It's important to use a good quality flat nose pliers that has a smooth surface throughout. This minimizes scratching and marks on the wire as you bend it. Some flat nose pliers have small ridges which can definitely leave unwanted marks. Check your tools and let me know - I'll try to advise you as to what works best.

  • @realisticart The chain nose pliers I was using does have the ridges. I just recently started working with wire so I will have to invest in some without the ridges. I have bent nose pliers without ridges, but they were not working well for me in this project. I also have nylon plyers, but the wire was constantly slipping out of those. Thank you for your quick response.

  • @GINGISNAPS You're welcome and thanks for giving me the feedback. Let me know how it goes.

  • I've made these gorgeous earrings though they don't hang quite the same as yours it doesn't matter - maybe next time. Thank you so so much for showing us how to do these.

  • @eileenfb1948 I hope you'll try some more projects soon, Eileen! Thanks very much for watching!

  • Love the earrings. How do you strengthen the wire so it won't bend or stretch when the earrings are completed?

  • @gerrie605 Thanks for watching my video! With this type of earring I usually don’t do anything extra to harden the metal. As you turn the wire to create the spirals, the forming action will harden the wire a bit. To make the links I like to use 18 gauge wire, and this is thick enough to avoid any problems. Hammering on an anvil with a leather mallet will harden & stiffen wire, but with this link that would be difficult to do, & you might damage the shape of the link. Good question!

  • Beautiful earrings. I look forward to making them. I did have one question; if you end up trimming off 1.5 inches for the coil, why not just cut 4-inch strands to begin with instead of 6-inch strands. Seems like a lot of waste, especially if you are working with the more expensive metals.

  • @SuperBenfu This is an excellent question which deserves to be answered in an entire blog post, which I am working on now. I will post it on my blog later this week and will announce it in my channel feed. Thank you very much for your thoughtful comments! I really appreciate them.

  • @SuperBenfu I should add that sometimes there are situations where there will be a small amount of excess and this is such a situation - but my blog post will explain the reason in full.

  • @SuperBenfu Hi - the answer to your question just went up on my blog. I'm not allowed to post the link here, but you can find it on my channel sidebar.

  • I love your videos, very inspiring. I've been to your website and I fell in love with your acrylics as well. They remind me of when I just sit, breathe and admire nature's beauty. Just looking at your art I can almost smell the water driplets off the leaves, the dampness of the floor in the woods after a light drizzle - and, um, over here, it's snowing as I write these lines. ;) Thank you for sharing. <3

  • @mortadelletube
