@michkie77gmailcom No, you need internet access for some machine (not necessarily your music machine) to activate the product. After it is activated no further internet access is needed.
this thing and sampla are great for sampling producers..but...i have a problem..every time i load sampla i have to reassing the pads thru midi learn do u know a fix to this....or u can send me the cc numbers for each pad and i will set a preset for my MPD....tnx
Ive got playa, hip hop instruments, aggro electro, raggaeton, and sampla, and i run them all on Win7, with sonar x1. They all work fine in standalone but in sonar only playa and hip hop strings work properly, i cant load any instruments on aggro and raggaeton, and i cant load audio on sampla, i dont know why?
@scrap1006 and you have shitty customer service and an unreliable product. Just sayin. your entitled to your opinion I'm entitled to mine. if you don't like macs, cool, no ones putting a gun to your head and making you buy them, but don't bash them all over the internet. thanks.
Hey sonivox, by featuring it on a mac, you just cut your own throats because it perpetuates the myth that you need a mac in order to create good music, or do videos. You'd be shocked at how many people think that's true. So people think they have to cough up enough cash for a mac, and thus they end up with less in the end to buy your products or other cool virtual instruments. And the headache goes on and on. Yet everyone thinks the politically correct thing to do on youtube is use mac. blah
it's just that I don't like slow machines, nor do I like over paying for fast ones. For example, I have an i7 based pc at about 4ghz. It runs circles around a typical $1600 imac. It renders video in less than 1/2 the time, it's great, and yet it only cost about $730, plus windows 7 is great. In fact it's faster than a $2500 mac pro, tested. I even showed this to my friend with mac, and he was sick, lol, but said it was cool. Just saying, it's too bad most don't know this is possible.
and again, nothing against macs etc. At least I've been noticing a new move towards pc with excellent results. Like the music for Don't Unplug me ALL Caps with meekakitty was done under windows7, or even davedays, have used pc etc, or the video cows&cows&cows. Just saying. that said, I might get this virtual instrument as I think I saw somewhere there was a vst for pc.
@scrap1006 ur telling me that a $2500 mac pro running a quad core processor is slower than ur single core? And that's besides the fact that, depending on the usage, the processor relates more towards multitasking then speed itself. Speed is mostly based upon the amount of ram.
@MarqMoz Not true. Try opening a DAW project with multiple instances of synths, and tons of DSP effects like compression, eq, reverb, etc. That is all very taxing in the CPU. Doesn't just apply to music either.
And btw, a $2500 PC is going to be much much faster than a $2500 mac.
@scrap1006 I hear you... We used a mac in the video because for a long time we made PC only products... So we were actually trying to shake that reputation.
Bottom line is SONiVOX stuff works great on both PC and MAC.
excuse me sir, would you mind telling me how you were able to use playa with ableton,im having difficulty find out the info,i tried prefences but but it crash ableton and i had to restart, must have been something i did wrong.

This is only a software plug in. You would need to intergrate it with your own DAW program.
