a lot of people (like a friend of mine) have trouble doing stuff like this.

he recommended i go to PlayBrewStation . info and do it the easy way... and after trying for a few hours to hack a psp myself, i just went there. Its soooooo much easier. very well worth it

chickhen r2 is a custom firmware that is safely loaded by a tiff file somehow. It's not permanent software. It resides in the ram so there is no way it can brick your psp. Chickhen r2 just enables the ability to play homebrew (doesnt include ps1 eboots) You need to read the instructions on pops (ps1 emulator) in the guy's description

need help.. i use a fat PSP, with no HEN.. but i have CFW.. recently most of my PSX games stopped working displaying that 800004 message, especially after reformatting my stick, and my GTA LCS wont run anymore, i don't know if its my memstick.. but after formatting my stick, when it only has 400 mb left and you try to put anything (save file, ISO, PSX) it just comes out as corrupted.. you think its my stick??

Thank you man, Worked perfectly on my black 2001 psp. Follow exactly what he does if you have a psp 2001 and ver. 5.03 official firmware, read his "more info" to the right which is more detailed. thanks again!

note: this doesn't work if you have version 5.50 so best thing to try to do is downgrade to 5.03 if you can

I was getting frustrated: until i did this try it.

1.the ChickHEN is inserted in your Pictures Folder.

2. the h.bin file goes in the Root of your Psp, not MP ROOT. then it should work.

it worked on me, with just one try.

wait.. I think I found a way to load Chickhen easier.. I am Pspgamer0112 this is my other acct I forgot my password, anyway I been able to load chickhen r2 easy if you change the xmb background color to light green... I can load it all the time easy now. then go into chickhen folder and scroll down fast to last picture.

Tha was a ton of unnecessary work... Why don't you just make an Seplugins folder with POPS files like you would on a standard CFW and use the POPS loader? that way you can play nearly all games including the RE and FF series games.

When you have the 2.10 CFWE you just go to Enable POPS and there you have it. I didn't do it on miens because I really don't play that many ps1 games except for Syphon Filter 1, 2, and 3... Otherwise that is about it.
