I've been to Burning Man seven times and was never once asked for money. I wasn't even asked for drugs, if you can believe that. Also living in New York for five years I was asked for money about 5,000 times (a few times a day). Probably 50 of those people were hippies. Just saying. I went to Burning Man about 5 years ago, it was such an awesome experience, as the poster below said, it's expensive, nobody is there to mooch off of you, but you will find people offer you things all the time.
From my experience it was absolutely full of successful people who just want an out, who wish the world was different than it is in the real world, so you take a week in the middle of the desert and party like its the world you want.
Rogan's argument about lazy hippies is fine, but it seems to assume all hippies are alike. The other HUGE problem with his argument HERE is that he seems to think going to Burning Man is free. It's quite expensive to go. You have to be SELF-SUFFICIENT in the desert for a week - round trip transport, food, water and shelter. Burning Man easily costs $1K, take an RV and it'll be more. One of the key founding principles of Burning Man is SELF SUFFICIENCY. Learn before making ASSumptions publicly.

As for everything else, guess what; there are HUGE demands for all that shit! Plumbing and sewage are things that MILLIONS of people want! My uncle had to have a tube put in his heart from a heart attack and it cost him over 100,000 dollars when it would have been free.We would need more then an Air Force if we got invaded.What are they going to do drop bombs on us.

@melbyRick We don't need a big military in fact we have one of the smallest military in the world.We have more mercs on the ground the US soldiers.Mercs go against the Geneva convention because we can only hire them for defense operations when we are using them for mostly offense operations.Mercs cost about 400,000 dollars when one fairly high ranking soldier cost like 60,000 dollars a year and we now have more mercs on the ground the Soldiers.It's because of corporations we are in these wars.

Otherwise, why would we need them? Hey, if our country was really under threat and needed defense, then the 2nd amendment would be all we would need. People will defend the country and their homes, I know that. People would volunteer for a truly righteous cause, just like we did in the Revolution.

Oh, and the REAL 2nd amendment doesn't just give us the right to own 'shotguns and rifles', either. It allows us to own military grade weapons, because the whole point of the amendment was to let the people defend themselves from both invasions AND GOVERNMENT TAKE OVERS. And I still want to know WHICH 'trained army' would ever invade us. It won't happen.

No offense to your hygiene but shampoo and conditioner leave a lot of residue in your hair which causes dirt n crap to build up faster. Washing hair with a mix of boiling water and baking soda and left to cool before use, much cleaner. Then use several essential oils to counteract loss of any and all oil on your scalp to stop your hair getting dry n brittle

I agree that focus on material based happiness is a pseudo happiness that creates counter-productive reinforcement and that its foolish. The opposite is equally bad, though. For society to work, for humans to be capable of pulling our dicks from the dirt it takes more pushers then pullers. Anyone taking hand outs, especially those asking for hand outs are pulling. People have to produce, people have to contribute.
Material objects do motivate and motivation is important.

@raoulthompson He's basically making the broad generalization that people often bash the system due to the fact nothing seems to be working for them. This is seen in capitalism and socialism. People aren't willing put in that extra hard work to make it work for them and often mope in their failures. I'm a socialist myself to some extent but I can see where he's coming from. Its just a weakness in human beings to blame others for our short comings. Not all are like this of course.
