KLM Fokker 50 leaves the fleet. Goodby!

Though the F50 never really touched my heart and won't ever be as close to me as the 777, I do respect it as the icon of Dutch engineering and aviation. Goodbye Fokker, now we're left with the F70 and 100. Sad that they'll be gone soon as well, the F100 was my first KLM flight ever! Imma miss the Fokker series. Stupid Embraer :P

The fokker 50 is one of my favourite aircraft. Too bad airbaltic is also gonna retire their whole fokker 50 fleet and replacing them with dash 8s. Why wold they do that. the fokker 50 has only had 2 accidents, while the dash 8 has had 10 or more.

But I talked to a Cabin Supervisor of VLM and she said that they will use them for the next 5 years
